BOOX launches three new devices at the end of this year

Last update: 18 September 2026

BOOX has taken advantage of this autumn to revamp a large part of its e-ink catalog with three quite different offerings. The new Note Air6 C, Note Mini C, and Palma 3 all share Android 16, front lighting, and an octa-core processor paired with BOOX Super Refresh technology, but they address different needs. These range from a 10,3-inch digital notebook to a curious e-reader with dimensions close to those of a smartphone. And that's precisely where BOOX's appeal lies: taking e-ink beyond the typical e-reader.

The Note Air6 C is the most productivity-oriented model. It retains its 10,3-inch color eInk display and improves performance thanks to a 4-nanometer processor and Super Refresh, which, according to BOOX, reduces screen refresh rate by 40% compared to the previous model. It also debuts Bluetooth 6.0, supports a keyboard case, and adds features like Dual Notes for working on two documents simultaneously. It's available now for €579,99. The new Note Mini C seems more interesting in terms of form factor. Its 8,52-inch screen strikes a balance between portability and writing space, with a color eInk display, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a microSD card slot that supports up to 2TB. It will be compatible with the InkSight magnetic stylus and will also cost €579,99, although it will be available soon.

The third contender is probably the most unusual. The Palma 3 maintains that almost smartphone-like form factor that transforms an eInk reader into something you can actually carry around all day. BOOX has redesigned the device, incorporating a monochrome panel with greater contrast, deeper blacks, and an anti-glare matte finish. It also features Android 16, 128 GB of storage, and compatibility with the InkSense Plus stylus. Its price will be €339,99. On paper, the new range makes an interesting impression: BOOX isn't just trying to compete by offering "another Kindle," but rather by making eInk an alternative for writing, working, and even using Android apps, reducing the distractions of a conventional screen. The Note Mini C is perhaps the most striking experiment due to its size, while the Palma 3 continues to demonstrate that there's still plenty of ground to explore between the mobile phone and the e-reader.
