There are air fryers that appeal to you because of their price, and others that try to win you over from the moment you take them out of the box. The Cosori ICONIC Dual clearly belongs to the latter group. This is an 8,6-liter air fryer with two independent 4,3-liter baskets, 2.700W of power, and a design that abandons much of the usual plastic in favor of stainless steel and tempered glass. Everything conveys a much more premium feel than we're used to finding in this category. Its price reflects this, of course. With an RRP of €369, this isn't exactly an impulse buy for making frozen fries a couple of times a month.
The question is whether all that hype actually translates into cooking. And here, the ICONIC Dual has some compelling arguments. The two independent cooking zones allow you to prepare a complete meal without having to follow a sequence of steps, you can synchronize their cooking times, and the available power is sufficient so that using both baskets simultaneously doesn't feel like you're compromising. Then there are those little details that are appreciated in use: simple controls, easy access to the baskets, relatively convenient cleaning, and a construction that seems designed to withstand heavy use. It doesn't reinvent the air fryer concept, but it does attempt to refine it in virtually every aspect.
Design and ergonomics: you can see where some of the money went.
The ICONIC Dual is visually striking. Cosori has used brushed stainless steel for much of the exterior and combined it with a tempered glass front, giving it a much cleaner look than the typical glossy black plastic finish. In person, the result conveys the feeling of an appliance you can leave permanently on the countertop without it looking like an eyesore you want to hide after every use. The handles are a good size, and access to the two baskets feels very natural. Furthermore, since they are positioned parallel to each other, you can open either one directly, which seems insignificant until you're cooking two different foods and need to check on one without touching the other.

The trade-off with this design is space. Measuring approximately 40,2 x 44 x 29,5 centimeters, the ICONIC Dual requires a generous countertop, especially given its width. It's not an air fryer I'd recommend buying without first measuring where you're going to put it. On the other hand, its height is reasonable and it can fit under most upper cabinets, leaving the necessary space for ventilation. I also appreciate that Cosori has opted for PFAS-free ceramic coating on both the baskets and the inner plates. It doesn't radically change the experience during the first week, but it does fit with the philosophy of a product that aims to justify its price through superior materials and finishes.
Two separate baskets that actually serve a purpose
The main selling point of this Cosori air fryer isn't really its 8,6-liter capacity, but rather how it's distributed. It has two completely independent 4,3-liter baskets, allowing you to cook meat in one and vegetables in the other using different temperatures and times. This is the kind of feature that might seem merely convenient on paper, but in everyday use, it significantly changes how you use an air fryer. Instead of wondering what to cook first, you can put almost all the food in at once and let each compartment work independently. For a couple or a small family, this is probably the configuration that makes the best use of available space.

The real practicality comes in when we use the synchronization feature. If one basket needs twenty minutes and the other twelve, the machine can coordinate both cooking processes so they finish at the same time. It seems like a small function, but it avoids that all-too-common situation where the side dish has been waiting for ten minutes while the main course finishes cooking. We can also replicate the same settings in both cooking zones when we want to prepare a large quantity of a single ingredient. This allows us to make the most of the 8,6 liters without manually adjusting each side. These are simple functions, but that's precisely why they work: they're not there to boast on the specifications sheet, but to eliminate the small inconveniences that constantly arise while cooking.
Performance: More than enough power to work with both zones
With a maximum power of 2.700 W, the ICONIC Dual has enough power to run its two compartments without using both feeling like a compromise. Each zone has its own DC motor and can independently manage airflow, which is especially important when preparing completely different foods. The temperature range also reaches up to 230°C, giving you the flexibility to achieve that toasted and crispy finish that some less powerful air fryers struggle to produce. Of course, power isn't a miracle worker: if you fill one basket to the brim and block airflow, the results will be uneven, just like with virtually any other model.

What's even more interesting is how it manages that power depending on what you're cooking. The ICONIC Dual lets you adjust the fan settings and has specific modes for air frying, roasting, baking, reheating, dehydrating, and even fermenting. In everyday use, you'll probably end up using just a few favorite functions, but that versatility means it can replace the oven in many situations. To reheat pizza, cook vegetables, prepare some wings, or make a quick side dish, it's much more practical to turn on one of these small air fryers than to heat up a full oven. And that's where a good air fryer truly earns its countertop space.
VeSync and controls: the mobile device is optional, as it should be.
Cosori continues to rely on VeSync, the app that provides access to recipes and various options related to the air fryer. It's a useful addition, especially during the first few days when you're still learning which temperatures and times work best with different foods. Having guided recipes and references can save you some trial and error. However, I don't think connectivity is a sufficient reason to choose this ICONIC Dual over another air fryer. After the initial novelty wears off, you'll likely end up using the integrated panel for practically everything, because it's much faster than pulling out your phone every time you want to make dinner.
And that's precisely what I like about its design. The app adds possibilities, but it doesn't overwhelm the experience. From the control panel itself, we can manage both baskets, select functions, and adjust times or temperatures without unnecessary complications. An air fryer is, essentially, an appliance that should allow us to place the food inside, press a few buttons, and forget about it until it's time to stir or serve it. Cosori seems to have understood this philosophy. The technology is present, but it doesn't try to turn something as simple as cooking vegetables into a connected experience for the sake of it. VeSync is there when we want to use it and disappears when we simply want to have dinner.
Cleaning: essential in an air fryer that you will use almost daily
Cleaning is one of those aspects that often gets little attention when we first buy an air fryer, but a lot of it after we've cooked marinated chicken three times. In this case, we have two baskets and two plates, so potentially twice as many parts to clean. Luckily, the ceramic coating makes the job much easier and prevents us from having to struggle too much with stuck-on food if we clean the baskets after using them. Both the baskets and the plates are dishwasher safe, which is especially handy when we've cooked greasy food and don't feel like washing four large pieces after dinner.

In everyday use, however, it's probably more efficient to clean them by hand with warm water, a soft sponge, and a little detergent. The interior cleans quickly, and this way we avoid constantly subjecting the coating to the dishwasher. The exterior requires a bit more care. Stainless steel looks great when clean, but it also shows fingerprints and small stains quite easily, especially around the areas we touch frequently. A microfiber cloth solves the problem in seconds. It's nothing serious, but it is one of those minor, unavoidable drawbacks when we choose more eye-catching finishes instead of practical matte plastic.
Final opinion: excellent, although you'll have to pay for it.
The Cosori ICONIC Dual is an air fryer that's hard to fault for its performance, but much easier to question for its price. At €369, it's significantly more expensive than many double-basket alternatives that perfectly meet the needs of most users. In return, you get a noticeably more refined build: stainless steel, tempered glass, two truly independent cooking zones, 2.700W of power, a PFAS-free ceramic coating, and a total capacity of 8,6 liters, allowing you to prepare a complete meal in one go.
Above all, it conveys the feeling that Cosori hasn't added features simply to pad the technical specifications, but has tried to refine a formula that already worked.
