Facebook will activate the sound of the videos on our wall automatically

Facebook

Videos, videos and more videos. Facebook has been focusing on videos for several years and for this it created its own platform where users can upload their favorite videos so as not to depend on YouTube and thus be able to make the most of the new way of consuming content that the Mark Zuckerberg company offers us. When the platform was ready, its operation was optimal, Facebook began to automatically play the videos on our wall as we reached them, a hard blow for the data rate of our mobile and of course, for the battery. Fortunately, we were able to disable autoplay using mobile networks.

Now that everyone has gotten used to videos playing automatically, the next step is to turn on the sound, a sound that was deactivated until we clicked on the video. If the application and all that it entails usually drain the battery of our smartphone, by activating the sound natively, we can choose to buy a specific mobile to be able to consult only our Facebook wall, if we want to be able to use it for something more than that.

The company announced this new feature after having carried out different tests among a small group of users... The company will progressively activate the audio so that it does not appear suddenly, causing some shock among its loyal followers of this social network. Fortunately, users who do not want to suffer with this new function will be able to deactivate it directly from the configuration options of the application, a configuration that is increasingly complex for many users. You can tell that Mark Zuckerberg does not like that we touch the settings of the application so that he can stop obtaining not only data about us.

A couple of days ago, Facebook officially confirmed that it was working on an application for smart televisions and Apple TV-type set-top boxes, so that users can enjoy their favorite videos on their home television, a move that can turn the dispute over the command of television into a pitched battle in some homes.
