Huawei could be developing its own operating system

At present, the only operating systems that we can find in the market and that dominate the world of telephony are Apple's iOS and Google's Android. Microsoft tried it with Windows Phone and later with Windows 10 Mobile, an attempt that was doomed to failure almost from its launch. Firefox has also tried but the lack of support from the operators forced it to close

Samsung has been betting on Tizen for several years, only in some emerging markets and on its wearables platform and at the moment there is no intention to extend the use of make of it. The problems that ZTE has faced, after the prohibition of being able to use any component manufactured, developed or created in the United States, has put the company on the verge of closing. Huawei, it could be next.

The Asian company Huawei has seen how the American government has prevented the company from landing in the United States hand in hand with the main operators, something that has ruined the company's expansion plans. But that veto may be just the beginning and to avoid a repeat of the case of ZTE, a company that poses a risk to national security by violating the American sanctions with Iran and selling its products in that country, the company has prepared a own operating system.

Apparently this own operating system started to develop in 2012, when the American government began to investigate Huawei, a company that has always been associated with the Chinese government. This operating system, called OS, has not seen the light of day, since the project has progressed very slowly, and as is normal in this sector, it lacks the support of developers, without whom a mobile platform has no future.

If finally Huawei also encountered the ZTE problem, it would only encounter the software problem, and not the hardware as it happens with ZTE, since the Asian company does not buy any components from Qualcomm, as it manufactures its own processors. That if, adopting a new operating system and without third party support, would be a hard blow from which, like ZTE, could not recover.
