LG launches the world's first rollable OLED TV

Many are the news that are reaching us from the CES in Las Vegas so we cannot miss the most important or outstanding of this technology event. On this occasion what we want to share with all of you is the launch of the new television LG Signature OLED model 65R9.

This is not just any television and the company boasts that this is the world's first rollable OLED TV. Obviously we are facing an LG model that looks with an image and sound at the same level but the main novelty is that the 65 inches of the LG Signature TV R are hidden in its base.

Obviously this new TV adds Artificial Intelligence and the 9nd generation Alpha XNUMX processor (It is an improved version of the one that was launched in 2018) so it is equipped with the best technology that the brand can offer at the moment, also the screen is really thin and the set shows us a really spectacular appearance.

The meaning of the "R" in the name of the new LG Signture OLED TV R not only speaks of its ability to enrsmell on itself and undorcan be reached at the push of a button, according to the firm, it also means the ability to "r" evolve the home entertainment industry and to "r" define the space in which it is located. All a declaration of intentions that in reality will be within the reach of few due to its more than certain high price which to this day is unknown.

Three different viewing modes: Full View, Line View and Zero View

This is the full view, online view and closed view as we see in the image that we have above these lines, and at the same time it offers users infinite possibilities to enjoy their television that were impossible even to imagine before the arrival of OLED technology. The full view (FullView) guarantees a viewing experience in large inches and with complete contrast, depth and realism that, added to the sound quality of this TV Signature R, make the set become the reference model of the brand and possibly of the rest of the brands of the market that want to choose to use this technology or similar in their TV.

For its part, the linear mode leaves the LG Signature OLED TV R partially rolled, and allows you to perform tasks for which the full screen is not needed, as is the case of consulting the Clock or Time what it does, manage the Background and the Tone to create a more relaxing atmosphere; watch Photos family members shared from a smartphone, or consult any of the Start Bar functionalities.

And finally when it is completely closed that does not mean it is off. In this format, users can enjoy music or other audio content with the highest quality, thanks to its Dolby Atmos system 100W front and 4.2 channels. Its premium finish designed by the Danish manufacturer Kvadrat does the rest and will really look spectacular in any living room.

Obviously and as many of you already know from the news that comes from CES, now this firm and many others are adding the possibility of using AirPlay 2 in them, but in this case the company says it is also compatible with Apple's HomeKit. What does it mean for users that LG Signature OLED TV R supports AirPlay 2 and HomeKit? Quite simply, they can play videos from iTunes, or music, or view their photos directly and easily from any of their Apple devices. And, thanks to its compatibility with Apple HomeKit, they can also control their LG TV using the Home app or by asking Siri.

Price and Availability

At the moment the company does not offer data of this type as we have previously commented and we are waiting to see the value of this spectacular new TV, but we imagine that it will not be affordable for most of us. We will see the release dates and official prices during the next few days, so far they have presented it at CES in Las Vegas.
