Sonos Ace now exchange audio with more devices

Sonos Ace supports TV audio sharing with Beam (Gen 2), Beam (Gen 1) and Ray, allowing you to bring the sound from your sound bar to your headphones without interruption to create your own home theater.

Additionally, listeners can now set up and start TV audio sharing with both Android and iOS, as it was previously limited to Apple users. Now, more Sonos customers can enjoy an immersive, personal surround sound experience without disturbing the rest of the house.

To access the TV Audio Sharing update, users can download the latest version of the software for their application Sonos, both for iOS and Android. Once set up, simply switch the TV audio from your soundbar to Sonos Ace by pressing the content key on the right earbud or via the Sonos app.

Other updates in this version are:

  • S2 to S1 Downgrade Tool
  • Improved smoothness and reduced latency for group volume controls on iOS
  • Mute buttons for individual products in group volume controls
  • Volume controls group from the Now Playing screen in iOS
  • Ability to clear queue on iOS
  • Improved performance for large queues on iOS
  • Ability to “forget system” on Android
  • Improved reliability for voice enhancement and night mode settings on iOS
  • Improved reliability when starting playback from a playlist on Android
