The Californian firm, founded among others by the philosopher and philanthropist John MacFarlane, has decided to make a 180º turn in its conceptual vision of the nomenclatures and designs of its main audio devices, and this is how Sonos announces a "new era". with the arrival of two multi-room speakers that will not leave anyone indifferent.
Such are the Era 100 and the Era 300, the new range of Sonos products focused on spatial audio and at the forefront of sound. We are going to tell you all the details (let us tell you) of these new speakers, and be careful if you enter, because you are going to want one of these.
It was 300, confirming the arrival of spatial audio
The new Sonos Era 300 is focused on offering the user a spatial audio experience, that is, it has a specific architecture that allows the location of a central driver to amplify sound, two lateral drivers that will improve spatial audio by filling the room, as well as waveguides to improve sound expansion.
As an important note, each Era 300 has its own woofers, which is said soon, being one of Sonos's leading devices in this regard.
In this way, they can work with a Sonos Arc or a Sonos Beam (2) to create an atmosphere Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 if we obviously decide to pair it with a Sonos Sub or a Sub Mini, what good results it has been giving.
Needless to say, the Era 300, like all Sonos speakers, has a fine-tuning job behind it, in this case led by Emily Lazar and Manny Marroquín, that will allow us to differentiate each tone, each note.
It also changes the way we interact with our Sonos, in this case it includes a more intuitive and immersive user interface, and far from what we could have imagined, this device is compatible with Bluetooth. For his part, now we will be able to manage the operation of the microphones directly from the speaker.

Era 100, the legitimate heir to the Sonos One
This device that will inevitably remind us of the Sonos One slightly changes its design to offer itself a little more "round".
