Since the first generation of Sony's PlayStation hit the market, this device has become year after year, on the world's best-selling console. While it is true that since its launch, both Nintendo and Microsoft have launched various models to the market, the Japanese company continues to reign in the world of video games as if it had no rival.
Regularly, the main manufacturers launch special editions of their consoles to celebrate some type of event related to a movie or video game. This type of consoles does not usually have a special pull among users who plan to renew their console. However, when we talk about real special editions, as is the case we are talking about, many are the users who do everything possible to get it.
Out of all the PlayStation models that Sony has released since the original model (including the PSP and Vita), the Japanese company has put 526 million consoles on the market, distributed as follows:
- 120 million from the original PlayStation.
- 150 million from the PlayStation 2
- 76 million PSP
- 80 million from the PlayStation 3
- 15 million from the PlayStation Vita
- 85 million from PlayStarion 4
According to Sony Chairman and CEO John Kodera to thank users for the trust they have placed in the PlayStation range, have prepared a special edition of the PlayStation 4, a console of which only 5.000 units will be sold, all of them with a badge that includes the corresponding unit number.
The price of this console will be 499 euros, and will include in the pack a remote control, a camera and the vertical support. The housing will be translucent blue. But if we also want to get the complete special edition, we will have to pay 89 euros for the bluetooth headphones. This pack will go on sale next August 24 and will probably be sold out immediately, so if we want to get hold of it, without having to resort to eBay and pay a lot more, we will have to be aware of that day.
