Twins ANC, Fresh´n Rebel evolves its model of success

Accompanying the recent launch of the Fresh'n Rebel Clam Elite, The firm has also decided to give a breath of fresh air to the Twins range, its colorful designed ANC headphones that have garnered many good reviews. Now they will have an added feature that will make your purchase even more attractive, active noise cancellation.

We analyzed in depth the new Twins ANC from Fresh´n Rebel, a true wireless headphones with noise cancellation and a quite interesting design. Stay with us and discover the news that Fresh'n Rebel has proposed for this TWS headset model that we already knew before.

Materials and design

In this case, Fresh'n Rebel has decided to bet on its well-known range of colors, we will have them available, each one with its commercial name in the following tones: Gold, pink, green, red, blue and black. In this case, the box has undergone a major redesign, going from being a superior opening system to a "shell" style. The box has a fairly compact dimensions with large curves for easy storage. For its part, inside we will have an LED indicator of the status of the headphones as well as the synchronization button.

The headphones are in-ear, a common tonic for headphones TWS when they have active noise cancellation. They have a design that will be familiar to us, without being excessively long, they are quite wide. As for comfort, they are light and have a variety of pads, so we will not have problems in their placement. The total weight of the device is 70 grams, although we do not know both the exact measurements of the charging case and the weight of the headphones separately. However, we must emphasize that we have resistance to water, sweat and dust with IP54 certification, so we can use them to train without problems.

Technical characteristics and autonomy

As is usual, we do not know the exact version of the Bluetooth that rides, although taking into account the pairing speed and autonomy, everything indicates that Fresh'n Rebel has opted for the Bluetooth 5.0 so common. We have proximity sensors that will pause the multimedia content once we remove them from our ears, the same will happen when we put them back, that the music will continue to sound from the point where it was. What's more, the headphones are dual-master, that is, they can be used separately since both connect directly with the audio source.

Regarding the autonomy, we do not have data regarding the capacity in mAh, but we have obtained around 7 hours of autonomy with the headphones in a single session, lThe brand promises between 7 and 9 hours depending on the noise cancellation mode that we have activated, data that have matched our analysis. If we count the charges offered by the case, the autonomy is extended to approximately 30 hours in total if we do not activate the ANC, which can drop to around 25 hours if we activate it. For its part, the full charge of the box will be two hours, about an hour and a half if we want to fully charge the headphones.

Noise cancellation and audio control

Noise cancellation will come into action when we activate it, for this we will touch the headphones, since they have a touch panel. In addition, we can opt for an «Ambience Mode» that will capture part of the noise through the microphones in order to offer a less dangerous isolation system for certain situations.

  • Standard noise cancellation: It will cancel all noise with maximum capacity.
  • Environment Mode: This mode will cancel the most annoying and repetitive noise but it will allow us to capture conversations or alerts from outside.

The noise cancellation is sufficient for the price range we are handling, Obviously they are somewhat far from alternatives such as the AirPods Pro, however, as long as we place the pads well, the noise cancellation will be attractive enough. It does not seem to negatively affect the bass and mids in our tests, although we do stop perceiving certain more delicate tones. In this section we cannot fault it if we look at the market and the price offered by other alternatives with active noise cancellation that we can consult.

Audio quality and user experience

It is missing that Fresh'n Rebel has opted to integrate the Twins ANC into the custom equalization system that we find in the Clam Elite. Nonetheless, the headphones arrive well to equalize them, although as usually happens in this type of products, they are specially tuned to offer a better result with today's commercial music. We have a good bass presence and a considerably high maximum volume, something remarkable considering that we will also combine it with active noise cancellation.

At the connectivity level they have not posed any problem, connect quickly and relatively easily, just as when being dual-master We have been able to take advantage of it to meet only one of the headphones on some occasions. They are quickly connected to the audio source in the same way that they disconnect and stop the music when we put them in the case, in this section the experience has been favorable. At the level of capturing our voice through the microphone, they are sufficient to hold conversations, without this being its most remarkable point, it does not offer an experience that we can review as bad.

Editor's opinion

and the truth is that they do not leave any section with a bad taste in the mouth in attention to it. The charging case is comfortable, versatile and durable. For its part, the headphones are in-ear, something almost mandatory in ANC headphones and falls within the "normal" parameters. Undoubtedly a fresh and attractive offer once again from a brand very focused on the young public that aims to create a round experience, without too many pretensions but that meets exactly what it has been promising.
