AMD launches Radeon Vega Frontier Edition with performance up to 13,1 TFLOPS

After several months of waiting, AMD has finally launched its first graphics card with the new AMD Vega architecture with a performance reaching 13.1 TFLOPS, according to the information provided by the company.

Its official name is AMD Radeon Vega Frontier Edition and it is the first member of this new architecture that also has a one hundred percent professional orientation, with special attention to content creation, design, artificial intelligence and 3D processing.

Radeon Vega Frontier, for professionals only

As I was telling you, the new AMD Radeon Vega Frontier Edition graphics cards stand out especially for their high performance reaching 13.1 TFLOPS according to the AMD company itself.

The base frequency with which this new graphics processor works is 1.382 MHz, which will be supported by 16 GB of HBM2 memory, 2.048 bits of memory bus and a bandwidth of 483 GB / s.

These are cards specially designed for a professional use (design and creation of 3D and VR content, XNUMXD processing and artificial intelligence).

And as you may have correctly assumed, such high performance will also lead to high power consumption of 300WIn other words, it will take a lot of energy for them to function one hundred percent and give everything they are capable of.

Regarding their price, the models that have liquid cooling (easily differentiated by their striking yellow color) will have a price of $ 1.499 while the air-cooled models will go on sale for $ 999.

Meanwhile, the most gamers will have to wait a little longer, specifically until next July because the first RX Vega designed for gamer will not see the light until then.

Although it will be Radeon Pro Vega 64 and 56 the ones that are most made to beg. With a performance of 11 TFLOPS they will not make their debut until the end of 2017.
