Android Oreo reaches the LG G6 in our country

LG Mini G6

The other day we talked about the announcement of Nokia or rather HMD Global, about the updates to Android P of all its smartphone models, and now we see what we have been confirming for a long time and that is that the main problem of Android devices is the little update they receive and the fragmentation that this causes.

LG announces the arrival of Android Oreo 8 to LG G6 devices in Spain, but this does not seem enough even though it is a big step for users. Undoubtedly being in Nougat is currently not a bad option for users of Android devices, but obviously it is always better to have more current versions and therefore we are happy about this update, but it is not enough.

Android P is a long way off for most

And the other issue is that we already have the Android P version available for devices and few if not any of the current manufacturers have thought upgrade older devices. Obviously those who sell new ones could have the current version of the system, but that is not the issue here, the problem is that most will not see it on their smartphones.

In this case the version of Android Oreo 8.0 reaches the LG G6, a device that represented a change of course in LG after the "fiasco" of the LG G5 and its "friends", but now it remains to be seen if the rest of the terminals of The firm follows in the footsteps of the G6 and is updated to the most recent version that is obviously not Oreo, it is Android P. But hey, we will continue to thank for the arrival of more current versions to our devices and in this case LG users G6 can be happy that soon they will receive Oreo in their terminals, go check the settings because it should be very close to launching this version via OTA.
