BlackBerry returns to bet on the physical keyboard, now with Android

We had been talking for a long time about the return of BlackBerry through the front door. It seems that it is never too late to solve errors, which is exactly what the company of which there is little left, and that is that as you well know, BlackBerry is now owned by an Asian conglomerate of companies. Definitely, we already have official data about what was known as MercuryThis BlackBerry that bets on Android as an operating system, but returns to its roots with a physical keyboard that will not leave anyone indifferent, will it finally become popular in the professional market?

More specifically, we will find a 4,5-inch screen, which is not exactly small, which will have a fairly compressed physical keyboard underneath, which has made many mouths open while we analyzed its design. In addition, thanks to Android Nougat 7.1, which will be the operating system installed, we can configure shortcuts directly with the keys, which will allow us to quickly access certain applications without even using the screen. What we will not find is a digital cursor, something quite present also in the old BlackBerry.

To move this machine we are going to find a Upper-mid-range Snapdragon 625, along with a total 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage memory. But we will continue to reel off its characteristics. We stayed at a 1620 x 1080 resolution for the screen, the FullHD more than enough. Fast charging will be the best companion for its 3,500 mAh battery.

With a metallic chassis and a rear that appears to be plastic, the device will have a USB-C connection, adapting to current standards. Of course, it will have a microSD card reader and the touch panel will have Gorilla Glass 4 protection technology.

The camera is composed of a 12MP sensor from the manufacturer Sony, while the front will be 8MP with an angle of 84º. The price will be $ 499 in the United States of America, and 599 euros in Europe.
