The Indian firm Realme officially arrived in Spain last year with a smartphone, the Realme X2 Pro and Realme 3 Pro, which offered us the latest in technology at more than affordable prices and for all budgets, which allowed us to become the models that were sold the most on Amazon, the main distribution channel in Spain used by the manufacturer.
During the MWC celebration, Realme had the intention of presenting its new commitment to the world of high-performance telephony at an affordable price, a business model used by OnePlus and Huawei at the time, and they have dropped out in the last two years. We are talking about the Realme X50 Pro 5G.
As the device name describes, this terminal only available in a 5G version, a decision that can become a problem for the manufacturer, since by offering a single 5G version, and not 4G like other manufacturers, the price of the terminal shoots up and is no longer an option for many users.

What the Realme X50 Pro offers us
Unlike last year in which it presented two models, to cover both the mid-range and the high-end at more than affordable prices with the Realme 3 Pro and Realme X2 Pro, the Indian company has decided to launch a single model, a model that comes to the market in three different versions where both the storage space and the RAM memory vary.
Screen
Really bet on one 6,44-inch screen with FullHD + resolution (2.440 × 1.440), HDR10 + and Gorilla Glass 5 protection from the manufacturer Corning. The screen incorporates the fingerprint sensor in addition to offering a facial recognition system. So far, nothing out of the ordinary and we cannot find it in other terminals.
The main attraction of this terminal is found in the 90Hz Super AMOLED display, a screen that incorporates a double hole in the upper left corner where two front cameras meet, following the same trend as the Galaxy S10+ Samsung that has not followed up with the launch of the Galaxy S20.
Processor and RAM
Realme, like any manufacturer that wants to carve out a niche in the high-end and compete from you to you with Samsung and Apple, you have opted for the latest Qualcomm processor currently available on the market, the Snapdragon 865. Depending on the version, there are three different ones, the Realme X50 Pro is available in a version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage and 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.
In Realme they have not wanted to skimp on expenses and they implement LPDDR5 memory, the fastest that we can currently find on the market as well as the storage system, UFS 3.0, the same that we can also find in the new Galaxy S20 range.
The Realme X5 Pro is managed Android 10 with Realme's customization layer and the whole set is managed by a 4.200 mAh battery, a battery that should initially be more than enough to withstand a long day of use. The battery supports fast charging up to 65W and has a USB-C connection.
Realme X50 Pro cameras
The photographic section is one of the most important for most users, users who are increasingly looking at both the number of cameras and the features it offers. In this sense, the Realme X50 Pro does not want to be left behind and incorporates 4 cameras:
- 64 mp main sensor with f / 1.8 with 20x hybrid zoom
- 8 mpx f / 2.3 ultra wide angle
- Telephoto lens 12 mpx f / 2.5
- Black and white lens for f / 2.4 portraits
Hybrid zoom is called the one that uses both camera resolution and optical zoom. The company has not specified the number of optical magnifications the main camera offers.
At the front, we also find an important novelty, since Realme has opted to implement two cameras:
- 32 mp main with f / 2.5 aperture
- 8 mp ultra wide angle with f / 2.2 aperture
Once again it is shown that group selfies are becoming very important for many users. Thanks to the ultra wide angle that this model incorporates, it will be much easier to take selfies with our friends.
Realme X50 Pro price and availability
The Realme X50 Pro will hit the market in April and will come in two colors: rustic red and moss green. Both colors will be available in the three versions in which it will hit the market, all of them with the same characteristics and where only the RAM and storage space vary.
- Realme 5 Pro with 128 GB of storage and 8 GB of RAM for 599 euros.
- Realme 5 Pro with 256 GB of storage and 8 GB of RAM for 669 euros.
- Realme 5 Pro with 512 GB of storage and 12 GB of RAM for 749 euros.
As I mentioned at the beginning of this article, adopt 5G technology in all the models of this new range, it may be detrimental to the company, since the base price is increased by almost 150 euros compared to its predecessor, the X2 Pro, a model that is precisely still on sale and it has lowered its price to 390 euros.
