Huawei is about to launch the beta For your Android customization layer, you shouldn't wait to reach all your latest terminals beyond the new P40 range, which has been released with that version. If you are the owner of a recent terminal from the Chinese manufacturer and you are interested in being up to date, you should prepare to install it as soon as possible. EMUI 10.1: the version that the Huawei P40 premiered paves the way to extend beyond China. A process that you have to sign up for through the Huawei application.
This is not something new since with each new major release from Huawei the company usually updates the EMUI layer. The renovation goes far beyond the aesthetic aspect, also in functions and applications; so that they always usually arrive loaded with news when Huawei updates other phones more ancient. EMUI 10.1 and Compatible Terminals
The beta of this software version has already been released in China and has gone through various phases for all recent terminals prior to the P40 range. In the Asian country they already have access to the beta in its maximum splendor but the entire global market remains and everything is ready, which will be very soon, as Huawei itself assures.
All holders of these compatible terminals must download this Huawei app to have access and enable the experimental firmware installation. The phones eligible in principle are the same that have received the beta of EMUI 10.1 in China:

What's new in EMUI 10.1
We are going to detail some of the most important news that this new version of the EMUI customization layer brings and in this way you will see if it is worth trying this beta or not. As If you don't find anything that catches your attention, you won't mind waiting for the final version of it.
New Design
The device control panel has been redesigned, now you can see your compatible devices in one place, and this improves the experience with them, according to Huawei. This design is very similar to that of the control panel of Apple terminals, which is not bad news. We also have a new side multitasking panel, which allows us to have shortcuts (Samsung Edge style), we can swap items when we have the split screen view, something that can be very useful to do multiple things at the same time.
AppSearch: Google apps
AppSearch, is an app that is responsible for searching for apps in trusted sources to download and use them. This will allow new terminals without Google services to have Facebook, Gmail, WhatsApp or Instagram in a simple way, something that until now was a headache, due to the veto interposed by the US government to Huawei.
Celia, Huawei's virtual assistant
In the absence of Google Assistant in their terminals, has announced Celia, who responds to the command "Hey Celia." The assistant can answer questions, make calendar appointments and calls. It can also translate images or use AI to tell you what you are seeing. Celia currently only speaks English and French, although the Spanish is expected to arrive sooner or later.
MeeTime, Huawei's FaceTime
It is a video calling application that allows you to connect with 1080p quality video with your friends and also Allows you to add external equipment for conference calls. The most interesting thing about MeeTime is that lets you share your smartphone screen, in case you want to share notes or presentations.
Share screen
A new option that allows you to generate a web link to share files from your computer with your mobile. You can even use your computer to reply on your smartphone. To this we must add an update of Huawei Share, which lets you easily send uncompressed photos and large files, and you can even transmit them via NFC with Huawei laptops. Something similar to what we see with Apple Airdrop.
Huawei Cast +
A new added function that gives us the possibility to send your content using low latency technology to other Bluetooth devices. The idea is that while you play you can project the image without losing a detail of your game.
