Facebook prepares a new blockchain division

Facebook

These months we are seeing how many companies are betting on the Blockchain, which many see as the technology of the future. Facebook also announced some time ago its desire to deepen these aspects. Since they wanted to study the positive and negative aspects of cryptocurrencies. Finally, the company takes another step in this direction, and announce the creation of a new blockchain division.

David Marcus, until now director of Facebook Messenger, has announced that he is leaving his post and he will take charge of this new division of the company. Therefore, the launch of this new division has already been confirmed, which will bring about a reorganization in it.

It seems that Marcus will not be the only known name to be part of this blockchain division. And also Kevin Weil, Product Manager at Instagram, will also join this new team. So the company is strongly committed to it.

Furthermore, it seems that Marcus not only has an important role in Facebook, but is also part of the Coinbase board of directors and has been CEO of PayPal. So he is a person who is knowledgeable and has moved frequently in this market. This is surely why you have been chosen for this position.

Moment not much more is known about concrete activities than this new blockchain division of the company is going to carry out. Nor when will they officially start working. Since although the creation of this division has been announced, and we already know a couple of names, there are no dates yet.

So we will have to be vigilant about what happens in it. But it is clear that the blockchain attracts more and more names in the technology marketFacebook being the last of them to fall for its charms.
