Fortnite for Android could be exclusive to Samsung for the first 120 days

A little over a week ago, we echoed a news item stating that the fashion game Fornite, which is not yet available on Android, could reach this platform exclusively for 30 days with the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, a terminal that will be released on August 9.

If you did not plan to renew your smartphone soon or you did not intend to buy a Galaxy S, it is likely that if you want to play Fortnite on Android ASAP, you are forced to go through the Samsung box, as the AndroidHeadlines website suggests.

Fortnite Battle Royale

According to the source that provided this information to AndroidHeadlines, the initial thirty days would be exclusive to the Galaxy Note 9, not for the entire Galaxy range in general. When the first 30 days of exclusivity of the Galaxy Note 9 end, another exclusive period will open only for users of the Galaxy S range, also from Samsung, being the only users who will be able to access the game.

That second period of exclusivity, would last between 60 and 90 days, without counting on the exclusive 30 days of the Galaxy Note 9, a terminal that will be the first in the Android market to install this game. If the news is confirmed, Fortnite will only be available during the initial 90 or 120 days only available for Samsung terminals, no other company will be able to install or use the game during that period of time.

In this way, it will not be until the end of November or the beginning of December, when Fortnite can be installed in each and every one of the Android terminals that meet certain requirements and that surely are not few. This game could be installed only through a game launcher available in the Samsung Store, an application that will be responsible for detecting at all times if the terminal meets the requirements of the exclusivity that Samsung has signed with Epic Games, developer of the game.
