From 2019 Volvo will only sell electric and hybrid vehicles

For a few years, especially since Tesla has become the main standard-bearer for electric vehicles without a doubt, many have been the manufacturers that little by little have been launching fully electric or hybrid vehicles, those that depend less on gasoline and whose operation is also electric, although with a fairly reduced autonomy.

Volvo has just announced that as of 2019, it will only put on the market vehicles whose source of energy is electric or hybrid vehicles, those that combine the use of oil with electricity. A decision that seems quite risky considering that the company today does not have any vehicle of this type.

With this movement, Volvo wants to get closer to consuming, consuming that little by little has become aware of the advantages offered by electric vehicles, vehicles that also do not require fossil fuels for their operation, fossil fuels that help to further infect the planet , although in recent years emissions have been significantly reduced due to engine modernization.

Volvo claims that starting in 2019 it will launch different models, models that will run on electric batteries only and hybrid models. The models currently offered on the market with hybrid motorization are almost 20% more expensive than diesel or gasoline models, a percentage that will have to be reduced considerably if the vehicle firm wants to convert practically its entire catalog into partially or completely electrically powered vehicles.

A few days ago Elon Musk announced that before the end of July, he will deliver the first Model3, Tesla's electric vehicle aimed at all audiences, a model that has a base price of $ 30.000 and of which the firm has already obtained slightly more than 400.000 reservations in the United States alone
