Fujifilm Instax Share SP-3, the printer designed for Instagram

It is more than likely that many of you do not have a printer at home, since to print one or two photographs that are really worth it, you end up visiting the photographic studio or the copy shop that you had closest to your home, because the ink from your printer has dried up from the little use we give it. On more than one occasion, surely you have stayed with the want to print more than one photo that has caught your attention.

If we want to print those photographs we capture, Fujifilm has launched a new portable printer designed for smartphone users, users who do not want to complicate their lives when printing photos. Of course, the format that this printer offers us is square, a format that has become very popular thanks to Instagram.

The square format is a format that is absolutely worthless in photography, where we can use the rule of thirds to place the object in photographs in the correct position. In addition, it allows us to portray landscapes or events, only inos allows us to focus on an object in question. Leaving aside the null utility for photography lovers, Fujifilm has launched the Instax Share SP-3 portable printer, a printer that allows us to print photos directly from our smartphone in 1: 1 format.

This, I sincerely believe, is Fujifilm's first mistake in target this device only to Instagram users, so I suspect that sales will be just as poor as the rest of portable printers, although this model may break records in this regard, but negative.

Through the My Template application, an application aimed at editing the photos before printing them, we can add texts to the photos or create collages so that the result is much more fun. Printed photographs They offer us a resolution 800 × 800 with 318 dpi. The software will also take care of selecting the optimal brightness for us so that the photographs offer us the best results once we have printed them, a process that only takes us 13 seconds.

At the moment, the price has not been published, but that will not be the main problem. The problem will come with the specific type of paper to be able to print, a paper that surely it will not be economical at all. The battery that manages this printer, allows us to print up to 160 photos before having to recharge it. This printer connects via Wifi with our devices and its arrival on the market is scheduled for mid-November, on the 17th to be more exact.

To say that the square format in photography is useless at all, is to be very brave, to be prudent.
