Galaxy Note 4 VS Galaxy Note 5, are there so many differences between the two?

Galaxy Note 4 vs. Galaxy Note 5

Yesterday Samsung officially presented the new Galaxy Note 5 and many of you are already asking us if it is really worth selling to the highest bidder the Galaxy Note 4 and launch into the purchase of this new member of the Note family. Thus in this article we are going to buy both devices, although we must tell you that in the last hours the rumor has been running like gunpowder through the network of networks this Note 5 could reach the European market.

This would undoubtedly be very bad news and a bad decision for Samsung, which would also prevent all users of a Galaxy Note 4, which are many, from renewing their terminal for the latest Galaxy Note 5. For now we will be cautious and wait for Samsung announced officially, so there we are going to buy both Galaxy Note.

Design, the big difference between the two

We could say that the design of the new Galaxy Note 5 has evolved greatly and is one of the great differences that we will find with the Note 4. In the first place the dimensions are already somewhat different; 153,5mm x 78,6mm x 8,5mm for the Note 4 by 153,2mm x 76,1mm x 7,6mm for the Note 5.

The weight is practically the same, 176 grams of the previous model and 171 of the one presented yesterday at the event that took place in New York.

As far as design is concerned, we also see great differences and it is that the Galaxy Note 5 has swapped plastic and leather for metal and glass and it has adopted a design very similar to that of the Galaxy S6. Without a doubt, the change is very positive and we are now facing a very beautiful terminal with a truly premium design.

Of course, each one must evaluate if it is worth changing the terminal for a more beautiful design or prefer to continue with their terminal.

Display: two drops of water with minimal improvement on the Galaxy Note 5

Between the screens of these two terminals we are going to find very little news And it is that to begin with they have the same dimensions, 5,7 inches and we will only notice a difference in the pixels per inch that go from the 515 of the Galaxy Note 4 to the 518 of the Galaxy Note 5. Unfortunately this minimal improvement I do not think is perceived by almost no user, unless they have an absolutely privileged view.

Hardware, the big difference between Note 5 and Note 4

Regarding the hardware we could say that if there is a sensible improvement in this Galaxy Note 5 with respect to the Note 5 and it is that the last member of the Note family is Octa-Core Exynos processor with 64-bit architecture accompanied by 4 GB of RAM memory. Both the processor and the RAM are above what we saw in the Note 4 although the difference may not be decisive for an average user.

In the other internal aspects we have two practically identical terminals although with some logical improvement in the Note 5.

As far as the rear camera is concerned, it has not been confirmed at the moment, but everything indicates that we will be before the same camera that we could already see and test in the Galaxy Note 4. There is no doubt that this camera is of great quality, but this Note 5 perhaps deserved something more, even if it was just some improvement at the software level.

What if it has been changed is the front camera that reaches 5 megapixels, for the 3,7 of the previous version.

The battery in this new Note 5 cannot be removed as we mentioned above and will be of lower capacity than in the Note 4, although we believe that the new processor and its architecture will make consumption much lower so it may offer us a greater autonomy than in the previous Note. We will have to try it but one of the strengths of almost all the Galaxy Note has been the battery and we believe that it will surely continue to be so.

Finally, the internal storage is still 32 or 64 GB and waiting for Samsung to announce a 128 GB version for the most premium users who need a huge amount of storage space on their terminal.

Is it worth swapping the Galaxy Note 4 for the Galaxy Note 5?

This question is certainly difficult to answer and is that there will be many who will have fallen in love with the new design of the Galaxy Note 5 and others who will not care absolutely. At the level of hardware or software improvements, I honestly believe that it is not worth renewing a Note 4, but the decision must be up to each one.

The Galaxy Note 5 is a terminal tremendously similar to the Galaxy Note 4, although it has completely renewed its design. Unfortunately, all of you who have a Note 4 may never have to ask this question as well, and according to the latest rumors, the Note 5 may not reach the European market, in a Samsung decision that is quite difficult to understand.

What do you think of this new Galaxy Note 5? What do you think of the few improvements over the Galaxy Note 4?.

I think it has been a setback not having a storage expansion slot, or a removable battery.

I am a user of the galaxy note range from the first and I have been an early adopter for all the models, until this note 5 a great disappointment, it was so difficult to improve the note 4, without going backwards ?. It is clear that I will not change and the worst thing is to realize that for Samsung the note range is not its top range and that design prevails over productivity, a pity that my only hope is in LG.
