The Galaxy S8 will have 256 GB of maximum storage space

A few days ago we informed you of the possibility that Samsung's new flagship, the Galaxy S8, will hit the market with the new Snapdragon 835 processor, a processor developed by Qualcomm and that will be manufactured using a 10-gauge process. But apparently it will not be the only important novelty, as is logical, this terminal, since Samsung would launch several models of capacity, among which we would find one with 256 GB of internal storage, the same maximum storage space that Apple iPhones currently offer us. To this space we would have to add the extra space that we can obtain if they finally allow us to add a micro SD card.

If this space is finally confirmed, along with that available through a microSD card, we could be talking about the first terminal that it would allow us to store up to half a terabyte of information on the phone, something that to this day we have not yet seen in the market. This year, Apple has released a new series of storage in its terminals, starting with 32 GB, followed by 128 GB and ending with the maximum currently available which is 256 GB.

Today the S7 is commercially available in 32 and 64 GB versions, space that we can expand making use of microSD cards of up to 256 GB, with a total space to install or copy practically any information we need on a day-to-day basis, up to 310 GB.

Without finally Samsung opts to offer 90% of the front as a screen in the S8, the option to add a microSD card is likely to disappear, a disappearance that would not be funny to the users of this terminal, but logically you cannot have everything and it is the engineers who will decide if a slot to add a microSD is feasible or if on the contrary this would be a problem for the device.
