Samsung's second bet on the folding smartphone market is called the Galaxy Z Flip. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip comes with a completely different design than Galaxy fold, format that folded book type. The Galaxy Z Flip is clamshell type, similar to the Motorola RAZR, but with higher specs than the Motorola model.
This model, due to the opening modes it offers us, is very reminiscent of the traditional ones makeup powder boxes used by women, the niche public to which this terminal is intended, although not exclusively. Samsung has not wanted to suffer the same problems with the screen of the Galaxy Fold and has protected the screen with an ultra-thin glass, no plastic films.

This new model has different opening modes, It does not only open like a shell type phone, but we can open it as if it were a laptop, an ideal function to be able to take selfies comfortably, as we have seen in the presentation. The gigantic screen that it offers us once opened, is 6,7 inches with a 22: 9 format, which makes it an ideal smartphone for social networks and to consume multimedia content.
The hinge of the Galaxy Z Flip, the most important part, even above the screen, is inspired by a lotus flower, and is articulated by a satisfactory folding movement, allowing to adjust the closing angle. In addition, thanks to its sweeping technology, it repels any type of dirt that can get inside and that can affect the operation of the mechanism in the long run.
The 1,03-inch exterior screen is designed to show notifications that we have pending to read on the terminal, but also, it also allows us to answer calls by sliding our finger on it. This screen I consider it the weakest point of this terminal, since it forces us, yes or yes, to have to open the terminal to consult any message or notification that we receive, but if we take into account that it is practically not seen since it is hidden under the color of the terminal, it can be justified in part Samsung's decision.
Galaxy Z Flip cameras
Samsung's commitment to this new folding smartphone concept does not neglect the cameras, the most important part for many users when renewing their terminal, however, Samsung has not paid the same interest as in the new range Galaxy S20obviously because the price would skyrocket.
The Galaxy Z Flip incorporates two rear cameras, a 12 mpx main and a 12 mpx telephoto, with focal apertures of f / 1.8 and f / 2.2 respectively. The front camera offers us a resolution of 10 mpx with an aperture of f / 2.4.

Samsung has partnered with American menswear designer Thom Browne to launch a special edition of the Galaxy Z Flip, a special edition that will include the Galaxy Buds and the Galaxy Active. Galaxy Z Flip price and availability
As many rumors pointed out, Samsung has wanted not to delay the launch of this new terminal and the launch date is February 14, in three days. Regarding the price, as the rumors also pointed out, the price is around 1.500 euros. There is only a version with 256 GB of storage, 4G version. At the moment a 5G version of this model will not be launched.
