Google Voice will become independent of Hangouts again

Google Voice

Google Voice It was one of the most important services of the company responsible for the famous search engine, the same as at the time and to give more priority to the Hangouts project, it was decided to join it, thus allowing the messaging application to make voice calls. Now the time has come to do the opposite, that is, Google is dismantling Hangouts and one of the projects that will be independent again is the idea of Voice.

Unfortunately and at least for the moment little or nothing is known about this new service except that will be released imminently. This is known since this very night it was Google that published, apparently erroneously, a banner announcing the service. Due to this leak and because there were many websites that noticed it, Google has had nothing left but to launch a press release where he talks about Google Voice.

Google announces the imminent launch of Google Voice, its voice calling service.

As discussed in this statement:

It was not a joke. We are working on some updates to Google Voice right now.

At the moment little or nothing else is known about a service that many of the company's users use practically every day, either through third parties, see, for example, websites that offer voice call services over the internet or directly, at least for now, through Hangouts.

At this point, I have to admit that, at least personally, I am particularly struck by the way in which Google is slowly dismantling Hangouts since the launch was announced. close your API to focus your messaging app for more professional use. In this way it seems that Google Voice will once again be independent although this point is quite shocking if we consider that the company itself has two messaging applications such as Allo and Duo that supposedly also allow this.
