Last week, technology firm Nest, specializing in thermostats and surveillance for the new smart home, took a leap forward by presenting its first comprehensive security system for individuals called Nest Secure.
But this security system, made up of three devices, did not arrive alone, but is accompanied by two other new products. The Nest Cam IQ Outdoor, a weather-resistant surveillance camera, and Hello, a smart video intercom that we are going to talk about next.
Nest Hello, the doorbell we want at home
The new smart video doorbell Hello Nest has a HD camera with a wide 160-degree field of view and HDR capability that provides excellent image quality. But it also comes with a two-way audio microphone and speaker, so that the sound flows smoothly.
It also integrates a led ring with which to illuminate the door of the house and thus see better who is in it.
The new video intercom Hello he is able to detect that someone is at the doorhome, even when the bell has not rung. It communicates through Bluetooth and Wi-Fi using the application for mobile devices and send a notification to the owner with the image of who is at the door. Since then, the user can maintain communication with the visitor, from anywhere, and fluently. And even play a programmed audio to your visitor.
Also, if you opt for a monthly subscription to Nest Aware, for $ 10 per month Hello will be able to identify members of your household, as well as 24/7 video recording and other extra functions related to the rest of the brand's products.
At the moment the price that the new doorbell will have is unknown Hello from Nest but what we do know is that it will be released in Europe and the United States during the first quarter of 2018.
