No one can deny that within Microsoft's Office suite, Word is, if not the best, one of the best text editors. With this application we can do practically everything we can think of, from adding a border of ants moving around a text, to editing images (basic settings that avoid us going through a third-party application).

Starting with Word 2010, the application received a very important renovation as regards the graphical environment, since most of the options are shown in the different tabs located at the top of the text where we write. Navigating through the tabs we can access practically all the settings and configuration options without having to navigate through the menus.

In these tabs, you can find almost everything, but not everything. To access the rest of the less used options or to configure the existing ones in the tabs, we must go to the arrow located in the lower right corner of each one. There we will find more configuration options.

Today we are going to show you how can we add frames to images that we include in our Microsoft Word 2010/2013 documents.

  • The first thing we have to do is insert the image in the appropriate place in the document. For it click on the Insert tab and look for the Image option.
  • Once the image is located, click on it and a new tab will appear, which is located at the end of all the existing ones called Format.

  • Next we go to image styles and click on the arrow located in the lower right corner to display all the available frames that we can use for our image.
  • As we click on each of the models, they will be applied to the image to see if the result meets our needs.
