How to extract photos from video on iPhone

resume youtube video play 02

It is not the first or the last time that by mistake and due to the rush, we want to take a photo for which we only have a few seconds, but it turns out that instead of opening the camera to take the photo, the video camera starts up and we record a video instead of taking the photo for which we only had a few seconds.

We can manually try to take an image of the recorded video by pausing it and waiting for the information to disappear from the screen to be able to capture the image, but both resolution and image quality will not be quite good. For this we have to make use of third-party applications such as Video2Photo available on the App Store.

The operation of the application is very simple. Once we have it installed on our iDevice (it is compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and has a price of 1,79 euros) the application will open showing all the videos that we have recorded on our devices and framed with a movie clapperboard . The order of the videos shown is not the most suitable, since it should show the most recent first and then the oldest, but it is a lesser evil.

Once we have selected the video from which we want to extract the images / frames, all the frames of the video will be shown as if it were a movie film. We just have to find the ideal moment and click on the frame in question to extract the desired image. Once selected, the application will show us all the options available for that image: export to camera roll, send by email, publish on Twitter, copy, print, Open in (third-party applications) or share files in iTunes. Pressing the upper right part of the image will open a screen that allows us to establish which part of the image we want to extract, if we only want a part of it. When we select camera roll, the image is saved directly on the roll of our iDevice and the application shows us the video we were viewing again in case we want to extract any more images.
