If you are regular users of iOS devices, be it iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch, we have always liked to test applications. Many of them only last a few seconds on the device, but its trace remains indefinitely in our purchase history in the App Store.
Every time we go to the Shopping section, there we will find the cool applications that we have been testing over timeDespite being bought for years and being so bad, they would have removed them from the Apple application store.
Unfortunately we cannot remove the applications we have purchased from Apple's registry. We can only hide unwanted applications so that they do not appear again in the Purchase list. Here's how to hide unwanted applications so that they don't appear in that section again.
- First of all we turn to the iTunes application.
- We head up iTunes Store, located at the top right of the screen.
- On the right hand side and under the heading Links, we will find several options among which is the option Bought that we must press to enter the section where a list of all the applications that we have purchased over time with our Apple ID is displayed.
- In the Purchased section, we go to Apps, located between Music and Books to show the applications that we have purchased. Also if we want, we can filter, depending on the type of application, either for iPhone or iPad and if the application is downloaded in our library or simply that all are shown.
- We go to the application that we want to hide and click on the X that will appear in the upper left corner of the application. The application will disappear from the list and will no longer be shown either through iTunes or on our iDevices.
In version 12.1.1.4 of iTunes, the indicated strikethrough does not appear
hide an application as indicated here but it still appears on my phone: S
What happens if the x does not appear in iTunes
Although the "X" does not appear, it is still in the upper left corner but in a hidden way. Press on that area and you will see how the application disappears.
The x does not appear and it is not erased
This causes it to no longer appear in iTunes, but it still appears under "Purchased - Not on this iPhone" on iPhone. But how is it possible that an option SO SIMPLE AND SO ABSURD such as deleting purchased apps that you no longer want at all is not included?
Thanks friend. It happened to me like some who wrote before that I hid it but (without disconnecting the ipod from the computer) it was still seen. After I closed iTunes and disconnected the iPod, the applications stopped showing up.
Greetings and thank you very much
