HP launches the Stream 11, a cheap and lightweight laptop

HP Stream 11

HP still keeps alive the spirit of creating new models of computers and notebooks and making the sale of these still profitable. In recent days HP has presented a new family of notebooks and a model of this family that seems to revolutionize the sector or at least shows a different vision so far. The new family it's called Stream and the first model in this range will be stream 11. The name of Stream 11 comes from the size of the screen which is 11,2 inches.

HP Stream 11 focuses on optimization of communication systems, especially the wifi and bluetooth functions so that the operating system uses cloud applications and not native applications and thus the equipment is fully functional for a very low price.

So Stream 11 does not focus on the amount of ram or the processor it uses but in telecommunication systems and servers that will have enabled so that the Stream 11 laptop apps can work.

Stream 11 will have a repertoire of apps that work via cloud

Stream 11 has an 11,2-inch screen with FullHD resolution, 4 Gb of ram memory, an Intel Celeron N3060 processor and 32 Gb of internal storage. Also the operating system will be Windows 10 loaded with cloud-apps like Office apps or HP Photos.

But the cloud world won't be the only thing special about HP's Stream range. The prices of both the Stream 11 and the rest of the laptops in the Stream range they will have very low prices. So the Stream 11 will be priced at $ 199 and the next team, the Stream 14 will be priced at $ 299. The Stream 11 will be on sale later this month and other models of this family will be launched next month.

Comparisons between chromebooks and Stream 11 are almost mandatory, however in Stream 11 we have Windows 10 which is a more functional operating system than Chrome OS, at least for the moment, so it seems that in this aspect Stream 11 is superior, but Will people really like it? What do you think?
