When we attended this year's MWC we asked some of those responsible for the stand if they knew anything about new models of the firm or similar, but of course, the stand was really different from each year and in the big letters of it are HTC Vive, so they logically did not know or directly did not want to answer our question.
It is also true that in this stand of the MWC they had tables dedicated to smartphones of the firm such as the HTC U11, but obviously nothing of new launches or presentations related to smartphones. Now, a few days after the Barcelona event, they present us with the new HTC Desire 12 and HTC Desire 12+.
In this case, what HTC wants is to focus the user's gaze on the screen and in these models we have the already popular 18: 9 widescreen. Obviously, in terms of design, little or nothing can be reproached for HTC, since they usually have a worked design and in this case the HTC Desire 12 and HTC Desire 12+ show it off. In addition, another outstanding point for which the firm is betting is undoubtedly that of savings, these new terminals have no price today, but HTC says they won't be too expensive: "without involving a great effort on your pocket«.
The HTC Desire 12 will have two options available in terms of RAM, 2 or 3 GB and the Plus model will be 3 GB. Regarding storage, both have 32 GB and the processors are two old acquaintances in the mid / low range, the 6739GHz quad-core MT1,3 for Desire 12 and 450GHz octa-core Snapdragon 1,8 for Plus model. Both models have the HTC Sense customization layer and in the case of the Desire 12 it will be on Nougat, while the superior model on Android Oreo.
HTC does not give up and continues to bet on its smartphones
The 5,5 inches of the HTC Desire 12 and the 6 HTC Desire 12+ they offer a similar experience in two different ways. Both terminals are surprisingly slim and comfortable in the hand, despite their large 18: 9 frameless display. The main characteristics of the terminals presented emphasize the screen, the dual dual camera of the Desire 12+ of 13 megapixels, which includes autofocus with Phase Detection for greater clarity and the glass design of both terminals.
The price and availability in Spain will be confirmed soon, but we have already advanced that due to the first information these devices will not be too expensive. We will be attentive to what the firm teaches us.
