Last year, it was the kick-off for folding smartphones, with the Galaxy fold and Huawei Mate X, leaving aside the bets of other manufacturers that little, or rather nothing, had to do with the concept of the folding smartphone that we all know.
The Samsung model faced different screen problems, problems that forced the company to delay its launch. The Huawei Mate X was only launched in China, so practically no media has had the opportunity to analyze it in depth.
Huawei had planned to officially present the second version of the Mate X during the celebration of MWC 2020, an event that was canceled due to the potential risk posed by the coronavirus. Some companies have maintained the presentation, although in another location, as is the case of Huawei, who has presented the second generation of the Huawei Mate X, called Mate xs, the tablet MatePad Pro, the laptop MateBook X Pro and smart router CPE Pro 2.
Huawei Mate Xs
According to the Asian company, the main difference we find in this second generation is in the hinge, one of the most important parts, along with the screen, within the category of folding smartphones. Huawei has used a hinge called Falcon Wing, a hinge made of a zirconium alloy that offers greater strength and resistance to wear.
The screen is coated with a coated with a double layer of polyimide, a polymer that offers a high flexural strength and that it is also very resistant to heat, a material that is commonly used in the automotive and aerospace sectors, so it is not exactly cheap.
This second generation is not only compatible with 5G networks, but also all the most advanced and current technology has been implemented currently available in the telephony sector, so its price is even higher than the first generation, which will further limit its possible market.

Huawei MatePad Pro
Google seems like has completely exited the tablet market, a market that forces any user interested in this type of device to resort to the different solutions that Apple offers us, if the options that Samsung and Huawei offer do not convince them.
In the same event in which Huawei has presented the second generation of the Huawei Mate Xs, the Asian company has presented its new commitment to the table market, with the MatePad Pro, a tablet that has everything from the good to the best, including a stylus that offers us the versatility that many users seek.
A differentiating element that the MatePad Pro offers us is the stylus, a stylus with which we can give free rein to our imagination and that in addition, it is loaded by placing it on the upper edge of the screen, an edge that being magnetic, we can also use to transport it without losing it.
