For reasons that we do not know, Sony is launching a series of poorly defined ranges in which it is framing an endless number of mobile devices, with a fairly similar appearance but that change a lot on the inside. The one that is focusing our attention today is the Xperia L1, a new model of a considerable size that reaches the family of the Nippon company with characteristics somewhat in question, which sometimes makes us think that Sony does not really have the interest that wants us to believe in mobile telephony.
We mean by this that this latest Sony launch has characteristics that make us rethink many things. We start with a processor MediaTek MT6737T That far from comes to give a spectacular performance, we could almost put it in the low range if it were not because it comes in a Sony chassis. We continue with a limited 2GB of RAMClearly little if we take into account the RAM memory that mid-range devices are moving, and also if we take into account the layer of customization that Sony includes in Xperia devices (quite intrusive).
We continue with the screen, a panel of 5,5 inches, accompanied by a very limited HD (720p) resolution, which doesn't do much justice to Sony devices in general either. For the battery if we are going to have a good amount, 2620 mAh that will ensure us at least a day and a half of use if we are not too demanding with the device, if the rest of its hardware allows it, of course. As for storage, we will have from 16GB that can be expanded to 256GB through microSD memories. And finally, 13MP on the rear camera and 5MP on the front camera, at a price that we still do not know but that should not exceed 200 euros.
