iOS 11 will arrive in its final version on September 19

Something that Apple has us very accustomed to is when it announces the date on which all its devices, at least all compatible ones, will be able to update to the latest version of their operating system, be it an iPhone, Apple Watch, Mac, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple TV. Since last June, when the Developer Conference was held in which Apple officially presented the next version of the iPhone operating system, iOS 11, many have been the users who have not wanted to be part of the beta program public and still waiting for the final version to be released. During yesterday's keynote, Apple announced that date: September 19.

As of September 19, around 19 p.m., Spanish time, Apple will begin to release the final version of iOS 11, version that matches the one released yesterday for developers and is called Golden Master. If there are no problems throughout this week with this final version, this will be exactly the same one that is released publicly for all compatible devices that can be updated.

IOS 11 Compatible Devices

iOS 11 leaves out of the update all those devices that are managed by a 64-bit processor, that is, the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5c are left out of this version and tThey will have to live to the end of their days with iOS 10.

IOS 11 Compatible iPhone Models

  • iPhone 6 and 6 Plus
  • iPhone 5s
  • iPhone SE
  • iPhone 7 and 7 Plus

IPad models compatible with iOS 11

  • iPad Mini 2, 3 and 4.
  • iPad Air 1 and 2
  • iPad Pro 1st and 2nd generation 9,7, 10,7 and 12,9 inches.
  • iPad 2017

Although the iPhone 5 in theory had one more year of updates left, not having a 64-bit processor has hurt in this regard. It should be remembered that with iOS 11, Apple only allows us to install applications compatible with 64-bit processors. If we find a 32-bit one, the App Store will not allow us to install it at any time. If we have updated from iOS 10 with an application of this type, we will not be able to run it.
