The new iPhones 6s and 6s Plus have just arrived in Spain and Mexico and we do not want to miss the opportunity to analyze these new Apple smartphones. Specifically the largest, the iPhone 6s Plus, which with its 5,5-inch screen comes to continue to face the increasingly demanding market of phablets.
Its new 12 Mpx rear camera, 5 Mpx front, FullHD screen with 3D Touch and the new Retina Flash are some of the most important changes in this new generation of iPhones. We give you all the details below and a video in which you can see the new functions in action.
Continuous design
Being true to tradition, Apple makes the changes to its generation «s» inside. The modifications in the design of the iPhone 6s are minimal and imperceptible. A reinforced aluminum gives it more weight than the previous generation, specifically 20 grams more (192 g) and its size increases 0,1mm but is still compatible with the housings of the previous models. In addition to being available in a new exclusive "rose gold" color for the 6s and 6s Plus, you can only differentiate it from the previous generation by the "S" engraved on the back of the terminal.
More power, same autonomy
The new A9 processors in the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are two true "beasts" that outperform even some current laptops. If to this we add that RAM memory goes up to 2GB The result is that the performance of these two new terminals is excellent in whatever task they face.
The batteries, however, have been depleted in terms of capacity, but not in autonomy.. The improvement in the efficiency of the processors ensures that the battery life of the new iPhone 6s and 6s Plus is the same as that of their predecessors, something that Apple assures on its website and that our first impression confirms. Coming from a 6 Plus I have not noticed any change unless in the battery life, what's more, thanks to the new version iOS 9.1 I would even say that it is superior.
Camera improvements
The two cameras on the new iPhones have been improved. The rear camera goes up to 12 Mpx and in the case of the iPhone 6s Plus it also maintains the optical stabilizer, something that differentiates it from the 6s that still does not have it. For practical purposes, the change is not noticeable, and the photos taken with the iPhone 6 Plus and 6s Plus in the same lighting conditions are practically identical. The front camera has changed a lot and it shows. With the current 5 Mpx, video calls and selfies are completely different, with a much higher quality than the previous models. Apple has also introduced the Retina Flash, which makes the screen light up for taking a selfie and act as a Flash, something that achieves good results in low light.
Video recording improves with the ability to record 4K video, and during its recording you can take photos of 8 Mpx. Also included is the novelty of recording FullHD video at 120 fps. The rest of the characteristics regarding video recording and playback are identical to those of previous models.
Live Photos, animate your captures
One of the most curious novelties is the possibility of taking animated photos. Every time you take a photo, without having to do anything special, you will actually be recording a small video sequence that you can reproduce thanks to the 3D Touch. The photo will be static, like any photo, but when you press lightly on the screen it will start to animate and play that little video and audio sequence. These photos can be shared with any device that has iOS 9 installed, which can also play them.
3D Touch, a revolution in the interface of iOS 9
It is the main novelty of these new iPhones. Your screen is different from previous models and is able to detect the level of pressure you exert on it. A new type of Force Touch that Apple has dubbed 3D Touch on the iPhone and that allows you to interact with your device in a whole new way. Click on an icon and the application will open, press a little more and you will have access to the most common functions. You can post a photo on Twitter, call a contact or write a message directly from your springboard.
The 3D Touch also offers many possibilities within applications, how to view an email from the inbox, mark it as read or delete it, and all this without having to enter it. The same happens with links to web content: you can preview them by pressing the link a little.
Developers are betting heavily on this new technology and there are already many third-party applications that we can find in the App Store that are compatible with 3D Touch, and this has not yet done anything else to begin. This same 3D Touch is the one that allows you to see an animation of the image that you have configured as the wallpaper on the lock screen, or even access multitasking or the previous application quickly without having to press the start button.
New iPhones on the inside, the same on the outside
The new functions that these new iPhones 6s and 6s Plus include can be very interesting for many, although the fact that they are visually identical means that many others do not see the change attractive if they already have a 6 or 6 Plus. The arrival of 3D Touch is a major change in iOS, although only the beginning of this change. Is it worth the change? Those who come from an iPhone 5s or earlier will surely notice many differences in terms of performance, battery, camera and interface, but perhaps those who already have a 6 or 6 Plus once the euphoria of the change to a new device has passed will realize it of what there are really few new things they can do with these new devices that they could not do with the old ones.

Very good review but if I wanted to comment on something that happened to me, I had changed the iPhone 1 time because I was pissed off what was happening to me and it continues to happen even though I see that Luis also happens to you. It turns out that when you have the iPhone locked for a time or say 10 seconds or a little more when you unlock it with your fingerprint, the bar above where the time is, the battery and the operator disappear and it takes time to reappear. I thought it could be the Chip since mine is from Samsung or that my iPhone was wrong but I have seen videos out there of what happens to youtubers that do reviews so I do not know if you know why it can be or if it is a Touch ID failure because it goes very fast and in 6 when it goes slower that does not happen as I have verified in my father's. Got me.
My 6s Plus is TSMC, and yes, it is true what you say happens, but it is widespread, so it will surely be a software bug that will be corrected in future updates.

I don't think there are differences. The difference is really going to come with 6.1. The betas are very good and the performance and battery are very noticeable, you will see how you notice the change.

The iPhone 6s camera is better than that of 6. Another thing is that the 12 Mpx is not a sufficient change for the improvement to be very evident, but other characteristics being equal it is obvious that 12Mx is better than 8Mpx.
Well, it is a big enough failure that it can record 4k and yet it cannot reproduce it. More when at the moment there are not many means to view its content. That less than for the prices that Apple handles, I would have put a screen with 4k quality. There are already practically outdated mobiles like the LG G3 that have it since its first version.
