LG has left us with its new mid-range phones at IFA 2019, of which we have just spoken. Although it is not the only novelty that the firm presents us. And also have presented their new high-end phone the LG G8X ThinQ. This model was almost completely leaked a couple of weeks ago and is finally official at this event in Berlin.
The LG G8X ThinQ takes over from the G8 presented in February of this year. It maintains certain elements in common with said model, although at the same time it incorporates certain new features. In addition, it comes with the Dual Screen accessory, which allows you to have a double screen on the phone.
The design remains without too many changes, with a notch in the shape of a drop of water on your screen. The fingerprint sensor has been located under the screen of the device. A double camera awaits us at the rear, which is surprising, after having a triple camera in the G8 in February this year.

One of the surprises is the use of a double camera in this case. The LG G8 that was presented in February used a triple camera, but for this successor the company returns to the double sensor, 12 + 13 MP in this case. It is powered by the company's own software, with functions such as AI Cam among others, in addition to having Google Lens as well. Good performance is expected from this phone camera.
The Dual Screen accessory makes an appearance on the LG G8X ThinQ, having seen it on the LG V50 in February of this year. It is an accessory that adds a second screen to the phone, of the same measurements and with the same notch as the original. Although this accessory has also been updated compared to the one they left us in February. As a second screen is added on the outside of it, 2.1 inches in size. In this way, when the phone is closed, we can use it as a screen for notifications or see the time.
Price and launch
The company has not said anything about the launch of this LG G8X ThinQ, except that will be launched in the fourth quarter of this year. So we have to wait at least a month until this new high-end is officially launched in stores. Surely in a few weeks there will be more concrete data on when you can buy this new phone. The Dual Screen accessory will have to be purchased separately in any case.
No data on the price of the phone has been given either. So we really have to wait a few weeks for the LG G8X ThinQ to be officially announced in Europe. It will be a very interesting phone, although we fear that it will be priced too high, as is often the case with the brand's phones, which will limit its chances of success in the market.
