Microsoft officially confirms that it stops selling the Band 2

Microsoft

La Microsoft Band 2 recall It was a rumor that had been circulating on the network of networks for a few days now, but a few hours ago Microsoft has made it official. The company that runs Satya Nadella has decided to throw in the towel and withdraw from the complicated wearable market with its device, which aroused great interest in its launch, but which later never achieved the expected results.

Microsoft has already stopped selling its Band 2 and has also removed any trace of it from its official store. In addition, it has also eliminated the SDK (Software Development Kit) for developers, which is no longer possible, for example, developing applications for this device.

The most curious of all is that it seems that the Redmond are trying to hide their final decision to abandon the Microsoft Band project in view of various comments.

We have exhausted the existing inventory of Band 2 and have no plans to release another Band this year.

We remain committed to supporting our Band 2 customers through the Microsoft Store and our customer support channels and will continue to invest in the Microsoft Health platform, which is open to all hardware and application partners on Windows, iOS and Android devices. .

At the moment and as they have confirmed they will not stop supporting both the Microsoft Band and the Microsoft Band 2, but none of them will be available on the market in an official way. Also with this I think we can also say goodbye to the possibility of a Band 3 being released.

Do you think Microsoft is right to abandon the wearables market at least for the moment?. Tell us your opinion in the space reserved for comments on this post or through any of the social networks in which we are present.
