The OnePlus 3T would be the first smartphone to add 8GB of RAM

OnePlus 3

We are not clear if this is good or bad, since the higher RAM consumption is also higher, but we believe that OnePlus is today a firm with enough experience not to do things well with its new devices. The new OnePlus model is close to being presented, specifically the firm announced its presentation on November 15, so everything is ready for the OnePlus 3T to be presented to society as the first smartphone to add 8GB of RAM. To this day we can say that if this is the case it will be the first in the world to add such an amount of RAM.

In general, the OnePlus is not a device with a heavy layer that prevents the proper functioning of applications or simultaneous processes, so adding such an amount of RAM may be somewhat less necessary than many of us believe, but if the company is committed to it it sure will be good. Today it may not bring any benefit, but over time the tener more RAM could be good for the user, yes, 8GB in a smartphone is still a brutality.

If the issue of adding such an amount of RAM in a smartphone continues like this, in a few years it will be spectacular ... On the other hand and as they say in Spain: "big donkey walks or not" but Is that much RAM necessary? Won't it affect battery consumption too much? Will the price hold? All this is still something that remains in the air today but that surely will not leave anyone indifferent to be true, if the 6GB already seems like a pass for the current OnePlus 3 with 8GB it may be too much.

With 2 Gigas the iphone 6s or 6splus has a spectacular performance. The first thing that comes to mind is how poorly optimized the operating system is to need even half of that ram.
Will they then sell a gadget for the mobile to serve as a laptop by connecting it to a monitor?
So much ram seems a bit absurd to me. Better if they improve the quality of materials, the battery life and of course the reliability.
