If there is a company that is serious about system updates, it is OnePlus. The Chinese firm launched last week the OTA of the latest available version of OxygenOS 5.1.6 and a few hours later it had to be withdrawn due to a crash problem in the new OnePlus 6.
In the hours after the release of the new version, several users complained about the glitches that the new version was causing in the latest model of the company and finally update has been withdrawn to prevent the issue from spreading to more users. A new update for devices will be released in the next few hours.
The only way to fix the failure is by rebooting
Users who already have this version installed have to restart the device to solve the failure. In short, it is a problem that locks the device on the screen and does not allow interaction until it is restarted, something cumbersome for users who already have it installed. On the other hand, those who had it downloaded but not installed, will no longer be able to do so since the firm eliminated it completely and It will be necessary to wait for the revision of the same so that it is re-launched in the form of OTA.
The new version added improvements to the camera software and other improvements that will now be left out for a few days until they can find the solution and put the version back in circulation. For now we can say that the latest available version of OxygenOS right now is 5.1.5 and in any case we recommend not moving from it to avoid problems.
