Roidmi F8 Lite, power and versatility at a good price

Roidmi has launched its new F8 Lite cordless vacuum cleaner, a model very similar to its “big brother”, the successful Roidmi F8 Storm, but with a much more affordable price. With a very careful design, enormous versatility thanks to the different heads it includes, great ease of use and great autonomy and vacuuming power, this Roidmi F8 Lite becomes one of the references in its category if we look at the value for money. We have tried it and we tell you our impressions.

Beautiful and functional design

Roidmi has chosen to keep the same design in this F8 Lite as in the F8 Storm, which seems like a success to me. It is a sober cordless vacuum cleaner, without those “extraterrestrial” designs of some other brands, with very sober lines and a modern and minimalist design in which we have the elements we need, without further frills. They have added the blue color "Sky Blue" which gives it a more casual look, but otherwise, it is difficult to differentiate between the two models.

But in this type of utensil, the design should not compromise the functionality of the device, and that is precisely what they have achieved in this handheld vacuum cleaner. Its modern design is also perfect for holding the vacuum cleaner from any position thanks to the 270º handle that allows you to use it as a conventional vacuum cleaner, insert it into the most inaccessible corners, and all this without ending up with shoulder or wrist discomfort. It is also a success to dispense with the classic "trigger" of other modelsHere a button turns it on, and the same button turns it off, with another button for “turbo” mode. While it is vacuuming, move your hand around the handle completely freely to move the vacuum cleaner, you do not have to press and hold anything.

A Complete Kit and Premium Specifications

Being a "Lite" model means doing without some features that the "Top" model (F8 Storm) includes, but make no mistake because the essentials keep it intact. The Kit included in the box is less complete, that's true, but it includes what you really need 99% of the time: a main head with its extender to use it as a floor vacuum cleaner, a smaller head to use it in mattresses, car seats, armchairs and other smaller spaces, an additional filter to the one already included in the main unit, the base and the charger.

The main head includes the standard, interchangeable rotating roller, which makes cleaning with this vacuum cleaner more thorough than with a normal vacuum cleaner that only sucks up dirt. We miss the second microfiber brush compared to the F8 Storm, and the LED light on the head to illuminate worse-lit places, such as the underside of the bed. The mobility of the head allows the vacuum to rotate with a simple twist of the wrist, making access to corners much easier, as well as making it easier to move between the legs of the chairs. With the main unit the weight is 2,4Kg, which becomes 1,3Kg when used as a handheld vacuum cleaner.

Its digital cyclonic motor of up to 80.000 revolutions per minute gives it great suction power, and its built-in battery allows you to use the vacuum cleaner for up to 40 minutes using the normal mode. If you use the "Turbo" mode, the autonomy decreases to 10 minutes. The normal vacuum mode is more than enough for most occasions, leaving the "Turbo" mode for very specific uses, so the autonomy of the vacuum cleaner is more than enough for vacuuming a normal floor. The recharge of the vacuum cleaner is quite quickly going from zero to 100 in just two and a half hours. The LED indicator allows us to know the remaining battery at all times.

Thanks to the magnetic support, we can leave the vacuum cleaner on charge so that it is ready whenever we need it, and its design makes leaving it in view not a problem, so that when it is needed its access is immediate. In the end, these devices are either in view or you stop using them due to the laziness of having to look for it, mount it, etc. To all this we must add a advanced four filter system, with HEPA filter and a sponge capable of absorbing PM-O3 particles, with which we can eliminate 99% of the allergens from the sucked surface, returning the purified air to the environment. If someone is allergic to mites at home, they will know how to assess these specifications sufficiently.

Simple cleaning and maintenance

Once we have carried out the vacuuming tasks we can proceed to empty the tank. There is no type of bag here, just a filter that we must clean so that its life is as long as possible (another is included in the box). The cleaning tank has the capacity for a full use and its emptying is done by opening the lower cover. Being a transparent tank we can see directly if it is necessary to empty it or not and it takes less than a minute to remove the reservoir, empty it and put it back in place.

In addition, the disassembly of all the parts for proper cleaning of the device must be carried out periodically, depending on its use. It is a very simple procedure that takes only about five minutes and leaves the vacuum cleaner impeccable to continue using it daily. No tools are necessary, and the design of the different parts allows both its extraction and its correct placement are very simple even for the clumsiest of the house.

The Roidmi F8 Lite vacuum cleaner has managed to do without some elements to lower the cost of the vacuum cleaner, but without cutting back on what is truly important. Although the contents of the box are not as complete as in the F8 Storm model, the price difference means that for many users this Lite model more than meets their expectations. A great suction power, a very simple handling and great features make it one of the cordless vacuum cleaners with the best value for money on the market. It also has a 5-year warranty for the motor and 2 years for the components.
