Samsung will update the Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge to Android Nougat

A few days ago we informed you of the launch of the first beta of Android Nougat for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, terminals that before the end of the year should receive the final version of this new version of Android. But apparently they are not the only ones, since according to what we have read in SamMobile, the Korean company plans to update the terminals it launched last year within the company's high-end range, the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and S6 Edge +, an update that will not be available until January of next year, with a bit of luck.

Samsung has always been the subject of criticism both by users and by the media when updating your devices, either due to the slowness or by leaving terminals abandoned at the first change, high-end terminals that are perfectly compatible with the Android version of that moment.

The Korean company continues thus trying to improve its image after the problems it has had with the failed launch of the Galaxy Note 7, a terminal for which we still do not know the real reason that caused the explosions. For now, what is clear is that its current flagship terminal will receive the update to Android 7.0 Nougat over the next month, while the previous model will do so in January.

Google announced a few days ago that the new Pixel will be guaranteed two years of updates, too short a period for a terminal that can perform its function perfectly on the market for three or four years. Apple is one of the companies that most respects the updates of its terminals. The iPhone 4s, a terminal with five years on the market, has been the only device that has been left out of receiving the tenth version of iOS 10. During those five years it has been receiving all the updates that the Cupertino-based company has been launching, although of course many of the new functions were not available in this terminal.
