Sonos announces compatibility with Amazon Music's Ultra HD and Dolby atmos

Sonos announced support for Ultra HD audio from Amazon Music and Dolby Atmos Music, offering more immersive ways to enjoy sound. With these high-resolution audio formats, the company is committed to helping its customers navigate this new era with products that are easy to use, sound great, and are compatible with whatever entertainment they choose.

Customers with an Amazon Music Unlimited subscription can access content from their speakers Sonos downloading the latest software in the app Sonos (Settings> System> System updates> Check for updates). They'll also see new cues on the Now Playing screen that indicate audio quality through Amazon Music, so they know exactly what they're listening to.

Ultra HD audio from Amazon Music and Dolby Atmos Music are available at Sonos in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and Japan.   • Audio quality of music on the Now Playing screen: Users who enjoy music on Sonos HD Radio and Amazon Music Unlimited can now see what audio quality they are streaming via a badge on the Now Playing screen.
    • HD: Indicates a 16-bit lossless stream
    • Ultra HD: A lossless 24-bit stream
    • Dolby Atmos: A spatial audio stream mixed in Dolby Atmos
