Sony bets on high-end soundbars at CES

Sound bars are becoming a luxury companion in our living rooms, they are priced similar to mid-range televisions and provide a brutal user experience. Personally, I also have a sound bar in my living room, and of course, from the Japanese brand, since the audio quality of their systems has been more than proven.

CES 2018 has been the perfect setting to present a new range of sound bars, and Sony wants to surprise you with a sound that seems to be emitted from the ceiling, technology on all four sides, let's see what these news consist of.

The two models that have arrived at CES in Las Vegas have been the HT-Z9F and HT-X900F, both with Dolby Atmos technology, whom those familiar with high-end Dolby sound know well. It is precisely this standard that allows sound to appear to come directly from the ceiling of the room, but it will not be its only characteristic, sound has never been so immersive. They are simply exploiting all the possibilities that the Atmos virtualization environment promised and is delivering.

The first model, HT-Z9F is the most expensive and will have a system of three main speakers and a woofer, with a price that will be around 1.000 euros in Europe starting in the next few weeks. For the more demure they have launched the HT-X900F with a classic 2.1 system, yes, we remember that unlike in the past, more speakers does not clearly mean more quality, and it is that current sound bars are offering creepy results with such minimalist systems . This latest, more affordable sound bar stays at around 600 euros in the Old Continent. However, Sony has decided to present an important range of Home Cinema systems, mid-range sound bars and receivers, you will find absolutely everything in your electronics stores in the coming months.
