Sony shows us the fastest SD card to date

Many are the companies that today seem to fight to offer what can be the storage system with the most capacity and above all the fastest on the planet. There are many contenders, although this time I want us to focus on what he has just officially presented to us Sony that, unlike some of its rivals, try to advance in the field of SD cards instead of betting on traditional hard drives or SSD units.

As a detail, tell you that Sony has not managed to develop a new technology of its own, but that to create its new SD Card SF-G it has decided to work with it. UHS-II Class 3 standard published just over two years ago. This new standard, as the Japanese company has now demonstrated in its new SD card, classified as the fastest in the world, allows maximum transfer speeds of up to 300 MB / s for reading and 299 MB / s for writing tasks. .

Sony creates what is considered to be the fastest SD card in the world.

As you can see, we have had to wait almost two years for a manufacturer to decide to implement this new standard. The time necessary for this type of memory cards to be truly necessary since, as you may be thinking, behind this development there is a need that comes with the new generation of DSLR cameras of the company where, the main objective of the same, is to record content in 4K.

If you are interested in the new Sony SD Card SF-G, please comment, as it appears in the press release officially published by the Japanese company, which will be available in the market from next march in capacities of 32, 64 and 128 GB. Unfortunately the price of each unit will be published in a few weeks.
