SPC Gravity 4 Plus: Analysis, price and features

We have been accompanying SPC throughout its launches for a long time, and it is that it is one of the technological firms most focused on the democratization of the product, that is, it is characterized by offering the latest technology products at relatively affordable prices, and we are in those with your latest product.

On this occasion we have on the analysis table the new SPC Gravity 4 Plus, a high-performance tablet at a very moderate price. Discover it with us, so you can know in depth what all its characteristics are, what are its weaknesses and above all, whether or not it is really worth getting a device like this.

Materials and design

In this sense, SPC wanted to take a clear step forward, this is due to the fact that the new SPC Gravity Plus 4 has a metallic chassis, leaving plastic behind and delving into what other brands such as Samsung, Huawei and Apple offer. This is clearly favored by its dimensions, of 164 x 260 x 7 mm, aAlthough the use of these materials considered "premium" also have a relatively negative impact in terms of weight, where we exceed the 500 grams in total.

Buttons

The only model for sale has a space gray back, with a a USB-C port and a microSD card reader, while one of its wider bezels has a connection for keyboards, while the opposite side has the webcam, that is, it is designed to be used in landscape format. At the back, only the camera and the LED flash remain, at the same end (side) where we will find both the lock/power button and the volume selector. A product that gives good feelings in terms of finishes.

Hardware

In this sense, we already know that SPC tends to seek a balance between price and performance, which is why it mounts a processor inside. Octa-core MediaTek MT8183, with a maximum speed of 2GHz. For graphics performance, it is accompanied by the well-known Mali G72 MP3, along with no less than 8GB of RAM, therefore we can conclude that at a technical level we have enough hardware for stable performance, as has been demonstrated in the tests that we have been carrying out continuously.

Camera

If we talk about storage, we have a standard memory of 128GB, more than enough for a device with these characteristics, but we have the possibility of expanding them through its card port microSD up to a not inconsiderable 512GB.

For all of the above, we find ourselves before a well-balanced product, which can be treated, and which runs a version of Android 12 pretty clean, with hardly any bloatware except for a couple of SPC's own applications, which has a very positive effect on its overall performance.

Connectivity

In terms of connectivity we have Bluetooth 5.0 as well as Wi-Fi 5 with compatibility for 2,4 GHz and 5 GHz networks interchangeably. Although we are not facing the latest wireless connectivity protocols, we have more than enough to maintain stable connections, whether it is to consume multimedia content or to work on servers.

Port USB-C of the Gravity 4 Plus is OTG, therefore, we will be able to connect all types of content to work with it, whether they are multi-connection stations or hard drives. We do not know if content can be output to the screen, but at least we have not achieved it during our tests, so we presume not.

Media and cameras

From our analysis we have been able to extract that SPC has thought above all about the way in which we consume multimedia content with its Gravity 4 Plus, for this reason it has set up a nearly 11-inch panel, with a widescreen 16:10 aspect ratio. This IPS LCD panel with good viewing angles, has a total resolution of 1200×2000, which offers more than enough pixel resolution for its size.

In addition, we find the company of four speakers, strategically located at all ends of the tablet, which allows to perceive the sound well in all situations and positions. These speakers are powerful and clear enough, even at high volumes, which I found to be a clear positive point of this product.

Screen

As for the cameras, as is often the case in this type of device, they are more designed to make video calls, scan documents and get us out of trouble. We have a 5MP rear camera, with LED flash, as well as a 2MP front camera. that will allow us to record video in FullHD resolution and that clearly suffer in adverse lighting conditions.

User experience

As we have said, we find ourselves with a product that is mature and complete enough to cover the needs of most users, regardless of whether we are talking about productivity or simply consuming multimedia content efficiently.

As we have said before, the version of Android 12 that this tablet mounts, and which will surely not be updated to new versions in the future, arrives quite clean, almost stock, as is the case as a general rule in SPC products. We do not have bloatware or default applications that can tarnish the user experience or hinder the performance of this device.

lower side

The 7.000 mAh battery it is charged with the USB-A power adapter that comes included in the box, without further accessories. This has provided us with more than 8 hours of continuous screen time, but we must take into account that the hardware allows us to run most of the applications available in the Google Play Store with some solvency, but obviously it suffers with the most demanding games if we intend to adjust the graphic performance to its maximum levels.

For the rest, we are faced with a well-adjusted, well-balanced product, and that undoubtedly offers us again (as almost always) a correct quality-price ratio, which is what we are talking about. An ideal product to accompany us at home, either to launch multimedia content, help us with studies or simply to keep track of our connected home. Remember, you can buy this SPC Gravity 4 Plus from under 200 on the website of SPC or Amazon.

Android 12, processor with 3 years if they are not more, and to know the type of internal memory if it is UFS or eMMC... of course if you tune

Hello Lola. It is a low-cost product, with a 2K LCD and HDR panel, with sufficient software for what it is intended to do, to consume content. Could you offer us alternatives like this in that price range?
