With the arrival of the sound bars through ports HDMI and its evolution with some pairings and intelligent sound capabilities, now more than ever most users choose to mount home theater systems at a much cheaper price, something that once, in the "analog" era was something with a cost almost prohibitive.
In this house we like to show you all kinds of alternatives, and far from the high-end products that until now we have shown you in the Home-Cinema sector, We bring you the in-depth analysis of the TCL TS6110 home theater soundbar, let's see how it behaves and what are its most outstanding features.
Materials and design
TCL is a recognized brand in the multimedia section, although we have even seen mobile devices launched by the brand, the reality is that it has always been known for its televisions with a good value for money as well as for its audio products, the latter being the ones that have brought us here today. In this case, TCL to adjust the price to the maximum does not usually give up an acceptable design, and that is what has happened with this unit that we have tested.
- Soundbar size: 800 x 62 x 107mm
- Subwoofer size: 325 x 200 x 200m
- Bar weight: 1,8 Kg
- Subwoofer Weight: 3 Kg
Made entirely of black plastic, with a textile coating on the front, it has good grips on the bottom to minimize vibrations. The upper part has a tactile multimedia selector, while behind the textile an LED panel is hidden of colors that will indicate the volume and the type of connection. In the back are the connections that we will talk about later. Size also quite restrained for the Sub, although in this case with a noticeably higher weight than the sound bar and rubber pads to minimize the connection.
Connectivity and configuration
We start with the connectivity section, First of all, we highlight that the soundbar includes a Bluetooth 4.2 wireless connection system, without forgetting the fact that its main connectivity must come through the HDMI port on the back or, failing that, the optical audio input. However, for the most rudimentary, a USB port is also included that will allow us to connect audio sources and even an old one, but no less important, a typical 3,5-millimeter AUX connection.
- Bluetooth 4.2
- AUX 3,5mm
- USB Port
- HDMI ARC
The Sub for its part has a fully automatic and wireless connection with the soundbar through a single pairing button which will stop flashing when that connection is established. That will save us a cable, not the power cable, which will be independent. The configuration is quite simple, as it will always give priority to the audio input through the HDMI connection, however, it will always be necessary to use the sound bar control for the rest of the functionalities, beyond raising and lowering the volume of the television, which we can do with the same control.
Notably Two brackets are included in the package that will allow us to adapt the sound bar directly to the wall, as well as a paper that will serve as a diagram when making the corresponding holes in the wall. Something remarkable considering the price range in which the product is located.
Having said all of the above, we begin by mentioning that the HDMI connection port has ARC technology, yes, we remain in an HDMI 1.4. For its part, it will allow us to interact with the television control directly on the sound bar, as well as send and receive information between both devices, and that is a notorious advantage. For its part, this soundbar does not have any superior wireless connectivity.
We have a 95db maximum capacity corresponding to its maximum power 240W. Not bad for a soundbar with such a restrained weight. At the compatibility level we have 5.1 virtualization to be provided by Dolby, the reality is that although the audio is highly dissected from the front, virtualization does its job and is quite pleasant without being noticeable. Nevertheless, the command will allow us to alternate between three equalization per-configurations for specific moments such as: Cinema, TV and music.
User experience and audio quality
The most important thing in this type of product is always the quality of the audio, especially when we talk about a lower price range, where we can find almost anything. The reality is that below 150 euros this soundbar complies, especially for the additions. It offers us quite outstanding and independent bass thanks to the independent subwoofer, Something that one would expect from this type of product, however, they are usually included because the bass "covers" precisely other defects in the quality of the audio, something that one would expect.
The sound is somewhat flat when we talk about television and music, a little more dynamic range is missing, then you remember the price and remember that little more can be asked for. In the case of music reproduction, it is notably defended, however, when it comes to playing movies some bass can camouflage the dialogue, and that is especially problematic at night, in that case you have to play with the preset configuration modes with the remote.
In short We find a fairly round product considering its price-quality range, it will allow us to enjoy the home theater in fairly good conditions and even indulge ourselves with its extremely powerful audio level. Few alternatives occur to me in this price range that include a wall mount, a separate wireless subwoofer, and HDMI ARC. you can take a look at Amazon from 150 euros, and in own TCL website.
