  • Filter the BlackBerry® Hub using a touch gesture. The BlackBerry Hub lets you access all of your messages and notifications from one place. And now, thanks to a new feature, you can filter your message list instantly. You can customize the BlackBerry Hub to display only unread messages, messages with follow-up flags, draft messages, meeting invitations, sent messages, or level 1 notifications. Once the filter criteria is set, it is activated with a simple touch gesture from the message list.
  • A simplified phone experience. The phone app now includes a new incoming call screen that allows you to take a call by sliding your finger to the left or ignore it by sliding your finger to the right. This version also includes new intuitive icons to silence a call or send a BBM ™ message, SMS or email using the “Reply Now” function when it is not the ideal time to answer the phone. You can choose from a list of automatic replies or reply with custom text.
  • SMS and email groups. It is now possible to create SMS and email groups to spread messages more efficiently.
  • Actionable notifications on the lock screen. With just one tap on the lock screen, you can now reply to important messages much faster or review your messages discreetly.

When trying to unlock the phone, the image and a grid of random numbers will appear. To quickly unlock your phone, just slide the grid to match your chosen number and picture point.
  • Custom quick settings menu. You can now customize the items in the setup menu, which includes features such as quickly adjusting the screen brightness, selecting the type of network connection, or accessing the built-in flashlight. In this menu you can also switch between personal and work perimeter.
  • Offline browser reading mode. This new feature allows you to save the web page you are visiting to continue reading later, even if you don't have an Internet connection.
  • Choice of contact sync sources. Now you can choose the sync source for the Contacts app, ensuring you always have the most up-to-date data. By adding a new contact, you can determine with which sources you want to sync it, for example the corporate address book, Gmail or Hotmail.
