Xiaomi's latest update blocks thousands of devices

Xiaomi Mi Note 2

Mobile device updates are always the Achilles heel of manufacturers. Many of them, once the terminals are launched on the market, regardless of the sale price, they forget about them and only focus on the new models, something that is counterproductive for manufacturers and that after several years of doing things like this, They have seen how they always had the chance to lose, since users did not trust them again. Xiaomi does not usually stand out for precisely this reason, but at least it does bother to launch updates to improve the operation of its terminals.

The signature of Chinese origin, has just released an update via OTA, an update that is blocking many devices. The update we are talking about carries the build number 6.11.24, and focuses on the user interface, loved and hated by many users in equal measure. Xiaomi is not the first company to make a mistake of this type, a few years ago, Apple released an update that blocked iPhone 5s devices, blocking that prevented the use of Touch ID in addition to preventing calls. Of course, the guys from Cupertino quickly removed the update from their servers. The only solution the company offered was to restore the device to a previous version.

The problem with the Xiaomi update, which apparently it has to do with Android processes, a window pops up that prevents us from using the terminal. It does not matter if we restart the device a thousand times, we will never find the solution there. The only solution is the same that Apple offered: install the previous version that the device had, a solution that will not be funny to users since they will lose all the photos that they had not previously stored in the cloud or they would have extracted them to their hard drive .

What a disaster, the seller in my case sends me a link so that I can flash the phone, when I open it it is a forum, and even trying to flash looking for info everywhere, it gives an error ... I can not activate debugging by usb or do anything because the mobile does not see the screen. It also did not work restoring from factory with android device manager ...

And now that????? My mobile is not even 2 months old and they tell me in the store that they need at least a week to repair it and they do not guarantee that it will take only one week. Can I ask for a refund or a new one ?????
