Motorola

Today at 16:00 p.m. the official presentation of the new Motorola G4 and G4 Plus in Spain, but thanks to the presentation that is taking place in India we have been able to know a little in advance the two new Motorola smartphones. On this occasion, the fourth generation Moto 4 brings with it a Plus version that will undoubtedly be worth it.

Both devices have been developed under the control of Lenovo, owner of Motorola After having bought it from Google some time ago, and in general, before getting into the small details, we can say that in these new terminals we find a larger screen, improved and more powerful hardware, with the consequent rise of the price.

Moto G4 Features and Specifications

Here we show you the main features and specifications of the new Moto G4 2016 developed by Lenovo;

  • Dimensions; 129.9 x 65.9 x 11.6 mm
  • Weight; 143 grams
  • 5,5-inch screen with a Full HD resolution of 1.920 x 1.080 pixels
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor running at 1.5 GHz
  • 2 or 3 GB of RAM
  • Internal storage 16 or 32 GB expandable via microSD cards up to 128 GB

  • 3000 mAh battery with TurboCharging that will allow us up to six hours of autonomy with 15 minutes of charge
  • Fingerprint reader with unlock in less than 750msec
  • Available in white or black

In view of these specifications there is no doubt that Motorola and Lenovo have managed to greatly improve their Motorola Moto G, which has taken a step forward to try to compete with other terminals with similar characteristics.

Moto G4 Plus, Lenovo's new bet

The different versions of the Moto G that have reached the market have shown very few changes and improvements, keeping its price practically intact. However, it seems that the time has come for Motorola and Lenovo to take a step forward and that may be the reason for the official presentation of the Moto G4 Plus.

First of all, it must be clear that we will find two different versions of this new Motorola flagship on the market very soon. The first of them will have a 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. The second for its part will have a slightly higher RAM of 3 GB and an internal storage of 32 GB. In both cases, the internal storage can be expandable through a microSD card of up to 128 GB, which will ensure that we will never run out of space on our device.

One of the most striking aspects is the incorporation of a fingerprint reader that Motorola has announced will be able to recognize our fingerprint in less than 750 milliseconds.

The cameras also undergo interesting improvements over previous versions, and will mount 16-megapixel sensors in the rear camera and 5-megapixel sensors in the front camera. Regarding the operating system, we will find version 6.0.1 of Android Marsmallow.

Regarding its design, we find a 5,5-inch screen with a resolution Full HD 1.920 x 1.080 pixels and 401 ppi. Perhaps this is the only one but that we can put to the new Motorola terminals and is that once again the plastic is the main protagonist.

Availability and price

At the moment we do not have specific information for Spain and other countries, but as Motorola has announced in India both devices will reach the market imminently, in black and white.

In the case of the Moto G4, that is, the most basic version, it will be available with a U.S. dollar price 199. This afternoon we will know the official price in euros for European countries. Regarding the Moto G4 Plus its price, depending on the storage version we choose, will have a price of 200 or 225 dollars.

What do you think of the new Moto G4 that Motorola has presented today in two very different versions?.

So the fourth generation Moto G is everything that the third generation should have been.

I was very surprised by the price, in euros it will be about 180 euros or a little less. We can say that it does not innovate in anything but it is very complete. It has a series of the best features that a mobile can carry so I think it is a very good option when choosing a smartphone.
