On April 6, Huawei will officially present its new flagship, the Huawei P9, which will complete the great family of smartphones that the Chinese manufacturer has on the market and that make up, for example, the Mate 8 or the Mate S. Great things are expected from this new mobile device and although we will be able to see and learn about it in a few hours , we have decided to carry out a thorough analysis of all the information that we know about this new terminal.
The Huawei P8 was a step ahead of Huawei that was able to conquer the market with two versions of its flagship that got very good opinions and above all impressive sales figures. Now the Chinese manufacturer seeks to repeat its success and will do so by introducing major improvements and bringing up to four different versions of the P9 to the market.
Design; elegance is still present
Most of Huawei mobile devices have a very careful design that exudes enormous elegance. The Huawei P8 had a design with a metallic finish in all its versions and thanks to the leaks that have been produced we have been able to verify that This Huawei P9 will follow the traditional design line of the Chinese manufacturer.
As you can see in the image that we show you below, this new Huawei terminal has a great resemblance to the Nexus 6P, manufactured precisely by the Chinese manufacturer. Thanks to the leaks, it is also not possible to see the distribution of the rear cameras, which will bear the Leica signature. Thanks to other leaks, its fingerprint scanner, placed on the back, has also been exposed.
To finish with the design part, we must show you the image of the President of Huawei, Ren Zhengfei, who was caught talking on the phone with a Huawei P9. This allowed us to confirm several suspicions that we already had such as the double camera or the metallic design. Screen; variety so we can choose
The screen of the new Huawei P9 will be one of the strengths of the new Huawei flagship and depending on the version of the device we choose we will find one or another size. In the version, let's call it normal, we will find a 5,2-inch screen with a Full HD resolution.
The resolution of the screen this time will be much higher than what we have seen in other terminals of the company, and thus following the path started with the Nexus 6P that it manufactured for Google.
Performance
Thanks to a leak that as always has had a place in the Chinese social network Weibo, we have been able to know that The new Huawei P9 will mount a Kirin 950 processor, accompanied by 3GB of RAM and that has thrown a figure of 96.043 in the AnTuTu benchmark platform, showing that we will be dealing with a really powerful terminal.
Of course, it seems, and except last minute surprise, this Huawei P9 will remain below the Samsung Galaxy S7 or the LG G5, two of the reference terminals of the current high-end range.
Camera
Huawei has not wanted to be left behind compared to other manufacturers who have decided to introduce great improvements in the cameras of their devices and has decided to innovate with a dual camera with autofocus laser. We could already see this innovation in the Nexus 6X, which offers us the possibility of obtaining high-quality images.
As for the camera sensor, it is expected to be 16 megapixels in the main camera, accompanied by an optical image stabilizer and 8 megapixels in the secondary one.
The camera of Huawei terminals has been evolving to a great extent and since the Chinese manufacturer presented the Huawei Ascend P6 in Barcelona, the improvements and the gain in terms of quality have been really important. At the moment we know officially that this The new Huawei P9 will be officially presented on April 6 and that, as has happened on other occasions, it could reach the market a few days later, although it is risky to dare to confirm a date for arrival on the market.
