Dating apps are leading to a second sexual revolution. Millions of people with smartphones in their hands able to connect in a matter of seconds and meet in a while to meet and know if that person will be the love of your life or nothing more than a temporary intern for a coffee, a beer or who knows that…
Tinder is the app par excellence to meet that person who will be able to fall in love or block you in a matter of seconds when one finds that it is too edge. And the same what has been updated in the past months, now the dating service wants stick to the ephemeral video craze a la Snapchat with the purchase of Wheel.
Wheel is an app similar to Snapchat's "Live Stories", which allows users to post on their wall or timeline a series of videos so that friends or contacts know them in the first person.
When Tinder is able to merge Wheel on Tinder, surely it will save many appointments that have no future for many users, since photos tend to lead to deception, just like chats tend to project an image that is not usually the real one of that person we want to fall in love with, or simply know.
The objective idea of Tinder is bring people in the app to create content. It would be a natural extension of its more social aspect, the one we have seen on Tinder Social.
Tinder would not be the first app to add video as a feature, Bumble, one of its direct competitors, introduced the ten second video stories that disappear after 24 hours like Instagram Stories, just last month.
Still unclear how Tinder will integrate Wheel's features, but having something a la Snapchat is more than an interesting proposition.
