Storage solutions have grown remarkably, especially if we take into account the needs of users and the capabilities of the new multimedia files with 4K resolution that are increasingly popular. That is why the well-known brand kioxia has decided to renew its range of microSD cards and USB sticks.
Today we have on the test table the U365 USB memory and the Exceria 128 GB microSD card from Kioxia. Discover its performance and what its ideal capabilities are to perform recording, storage and playback tasks, thus improving the way you create and consume content.
365GB TransMemory U128
In this case we start with the Kioxia 128GB USB memory. The latest launch of the brand is offered in capacities of 32/64/128 and 256 GB. Its ideal use is that of data transfer and has USB technology. 3.2 Gen 1.

Has a sliding tab that will allow us to save the USB and thus protect the end to improve the durability of the product. As expected, we have compatibility with Windows 8 onwards and macOS X 10.11 onwards.
As an advantage, Kioxia products all have a five-year warranty. It is made of black plastic clearly focused on durability. In our tests we have obtained a performance of around 30 MB / s of writing and about 180 MB / s of reading, something above even the data offered by the brand, which ensures at least 150 MB / s.
In this way, it becomes an ideal product to transfer our backup copies or have a secondary mass storage on our PC or Mac. We have personally analyzed the usage transferring 4K HDR movies, allowing us to stream video in these qualities up to a maximum of 30 FPS, so it appears as a versatile and interesting option. Its price will range between € 20 and € 30 depending on the point of sale up to 256 GB.
Exceria microSDXC UHS-I 128GB
We now turn to microSD cards, specifically to the 128GB model of its renowned Exceria range that is shown in green. As we have said before, we have a microSDXC I product of Class 10 U3 (V30) especially focused on recording and video playback in 4K resolution as expected. Therefore, it is shown as a recommended product for high-end mobile phones or recording and photography cameras.
In this case, the analyzes carried out have provided identical results to those advertised by the brand, reaching 85 MB / s of writing and 100 MB / s of reading. This is especially advantageous when it comes to retransmitting the data we are capturing in real time, both recording and reproducing has been favorable. In our tests we have used a Dashcam that records in 1080p at 60FPS and we have not found any problems. We have also taken advantage of the Xiaomi Mi Action Camera 4K and it has successfully complied with the data offered by Kioxia on its web portal in terms of reading and writing.
In total we will be able to store approximately 38500 photographs, about 1490 minutes of recording at resolution Full HD or 314 minutes of 4K recording. As a detail, this card is compatible with all Android products, has ESD immunity, is waterproof and X-ray proof (it will not break when analyzed with this technology). In the same way, it has overheating prevention to avoid losing your data due to a temperature error and is resistant to shocks.
