Vivo APEX, a mobile with retractable camera and all screen

Vivo APEX retractable camera

The Vivo company was the first to demonstrate that having a fingerprint reader under the screen was possible. This was demonstrated at the last CES 2018. And during this Mobile World Congress he taught us the I live APEX, a prototype of smartphone that it is all screen and that for its entire front panel to be occupied by the panel, there must be changes in the distribution of its elements.

Vivo APEX is a mobile that It does not yet have a market date. However, the MWC has attracted the attention of the attending public since it is a terminal that introduces many changes in the sector. For example: to unlock the terminal, the user will have half of the screen to be able to place the finger and thus be able to use it. In other words, the user should no longer have to worry about placing the finger correctly in the corresponding place.

On the other hand, as we have told you, the screen is the main protagonist of the front: there are no frames, no sensors, etc. And then the camera? East Vivo APEX will have a retractable camera on the top; that is to say, it would work as if it were a flash built into cameras. When you need to take a picture, this sensor will storm the scene. Its resolution is 8 megapixels. That is, with this retractable camera, the guys from Vivo show that you don't need any kind of "Notch" or similar solution to get a mobile with all screen and without frames. Meanwhile, in the back we will have the main camera that offers a distribution equal to that of Apple's iPhone X.

On the other hand, Vivo has also had to find a solution for the mobile speaker. And in this case has resorted to a mechanism in which the screen vibrates to be able to hear our interlocutor. According to the guys from The Verge, the quality is not as good as in a conventional mobile, but it is totally usable.
